Topps Now cards

Carson Benge confirmed(?)

-
While I have little doubt that he receives a card I'd treat any site that is not mlb the show with a healthy dose of skepticism.
Like I said though, him getting one is about as safe a bet as you could make. Same with McGonigle

Ah I did not know that. I just saw the URL if the original image

The people that look down on the card collecting aspect of this mode are going to hate that article
I would like to see them rethink how they use Topps cards one of these years. The rookie, all star, second half hero etc sets are a bit stale. Maybe focus on the years instead? Have Topps decade captains that work on all 80s or 90s Topps Cards

I did not see anything in that article that would sway people's opinion one way or the other. It is simply an article explaining how Diamond Dynasty works. So yeah, If people hated card collecting before they are still going to hate it now.
Decade captains may eventually be a nice idea but right now we have only 14 players from the 80s.

In 2017, the "Inning Programs" equivalent featured Programs built around the card types.
Year started with Rookie programs for Chris Archer & Chipper Jones
Month later, programs released for Breakout Doug Drabek and Nelson Cruz
Month later, programs released for Impact Vets Roy Oswalt & Hanley Ramirez.
And so on and so forth.

And to be fair it does let them put a little baseball history into the cards, like today's Soler postseason one. I just would rather the cards not have the extra label on top of the Topps design sometimes

@Teak2112_MLBTS McGreevy threw 6 no hit innings last Saturday. Fried threw 8 shutout innings a couple nights ago.

Neither got an actual Topps Now card so they won't get one in game.
They could technically still be in play for a Spotlight card though as those are more under SDS's control I believe

Sal Stewart ignored by SDS again... SDS logic guy is hitting .500 over the first week with 6 XBH, Downgrade his
ratings. total BS
