Does anyone actually play DQ anymore?
-
I really enjoyed playing DQ last year. For someone like me, it was challenging enough yet rewarding enough to invest my time. Cards generally held decent value 7K-12K) even a week+ into a drop.
This year, there is absolutely no reason it seems to bother with this mode.
What a shame.

Last year stub method number one was the bazzana Schultz dq this year atleast so far wbc mini season has been the move 100%
-
Seems to be a lot of those cards on the market so it seems a lot of people played them initially. I played them but usually offline isn’t something I want to do multiple times other than the wbc mini seasons in the beginning
-
@virusts_PSN fair I’m usally a ranked player but as u can see In the I’m finally caving forum I’m going strictly offline or events until I get Pujols may give it another go once I get him but just gonna take a much needed break and enjoy playing more casually for a bit
-
Didn't like it last year, haven't even considered playing it this year
Not going to play something where I'm not guaranteed some type of reward for my time.
I lose ranked game it's fine I still get parallel and multi-player progress plus ta and whatever else
-
Nope won’t play it for exactly this.
No game mode should not allow you to progress somehow.
I’m glad last year they at least allows stats to count for showdowns and stadium games that was a good start. But it should be mode-wide.
Feel the same way about moments. Hell some moments I feel like I should be P5 after failing 100 times to get a single hit, or XBH etc.
Then at the end of the moment and an hour you get bupkis and have to go to the next moment for torture.
You should get whatever card you are using parallel exp in all moments same as you do in BR.

I think a few things:
- It was a known stub maker last year, so got extra attention early
- People are in sell mode moreso than most years because its a race to get Ohtani before he goes up (although he doesnt seem to be actually going up)
- None of the cards are needed in collections. Yet.
-
I started the one with Stan Musial, calculated that my odds might reach as high as a coin flip and just stopped right there.
-
Same I think I bought him opening night for like 15k, it’s worth my time to overpay as I hate Diamond Quest.
-
Absolutely not
-
Very easy to get 3-4 diamonds, yeah it takes a bit to get all the squares but very easy mode.
-
It’s pretty much gone the way of extreme already. Not enough people enjoy it so they just put some really terrible cards in it nobody wants or cares about and put the good ones in packs and call them “Special Inserts” lulz
-
I dont hate it, but its not worth playing right now. Mini seasons is a much better stub making method and you get a lot more program progress
-
I played through that one, because the starting odds were so high. The other one that's up, absolutely not.
My biggest issue with the mode isn't the time suck, or even the odds, though those are both negatives, it's that if you lose a showdown challenge , you can earn a penalty (or just have a 1 in 6 chance of getting one from a dice roll) that makes the next challenge impossible, and then you're in a feedback loop or failure. Hard to hit a home run if you cannot get good contact with the ball.
