I will always remember when I was able to complete the live series collection in 25 because it was the day that my grandmother passed away August 5th, as for the other games I have no clue when I finished it other than I know that I did

Last year, my priority early on was getting Clemens (AL collection) as fast as possible, I got him in time for the first Weekend Classic. Then I had Beltran by the 2nd one, not spending any money to do so and not really flipping other than getting to the xp bosses really fast and selling, then buying them back when prices drop. This year, I’ll probably buy some stubs to get Albert faster.

@DanH35_XBL If you want to complete the collection, the cheapest way is always to buy the most expensive cards first.

    So here is my testimony,
So i have played every year of MLB the show. I didnt start DD until 2021. I was always a franchise RTTS player before that. My first year of DD, i spent money and bought stubs. Bought packs. I'm not joking i probably spend 500+$ on stubs that first year. would have spent far less if i would have just bought cards. Once i pieced it all together by the end of the year, nope no more buying stubs. My one and only year and it was a costly learning lesson. lol

First week of April for me. The only money spent is $100 on release for stubs to invest with. I have every card in the game now except extreme Elly because I am now 0/7 on Santana in the DQ. I’m trying one more time then I’ll admit defeat.

So that's my focus early release, do the tutorial and head straight to the Market. I want 2 to 3 gatekeepers night one. I'm not a pack luck guy, been playing forever and I NEVER PULL GATEKEEPERS, NOT EVEN ONCE. So i'm wasting my stubs on packs, I'm attacking Gatekeepers night one.

I don't know the exact dates but usually have the collection done before the end of June.

@GoozeFn_PSN I am, Night 1 only. This is my favorite game for a long time now, the wife knows 'my favorite card night one is the credit card'. Probably $150-$200.

@ANF_GOLD99_PSN No judgement. I was just wondering how you could get 3 high diamonds night 1. It usually takes me about a week to get the top live series player.

I’m like a 96.3% offline grinder. I put in some hours and normally finish around the All-Star break, but it feels a lot like work.

@LHUBison58_XBL I feel you on this. I got him. It took me 13 times to get him. One time I had a 98% chance to get him and didn't.

Usually I have had the card I was after in 1-2 tries. They made getting him extreme.

Been playing since ‘21, usually finish around June-ish. Last year, it was later. I want to say August. Cards seemed expensive.

I usually keep all non-duplicates. And I usually don’t go after gate keepers. I save them for last and hope I pull one.

I typically go after the “low hanging fruit” (cheap card) as adding one or two 5 stub cards to a collection can earn a card or a couple hundred stubs. Early on in the game, that makes a difference.

Might chance my philosophy this year to see if I can finish sooner.

@capardo_XBL Prices seemed higher because prices were deflated in 23/24 because of sets and seasons. The power creep makes the collection more important.
