Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, they basically confirmed that the Cardinals 99 version of Pujols is either the NL or entire Live Series collection
-
Hopefully rewards scale for mini seasons based on the inning/games chosen.

Yeah, I saw that and the other version they showed is an 81 Angels version so the options look to be finish the collection or possibly do without Pujols.
-
2014 AS Andrew McCutchen (90 OVR) shown in one of the screens. Likely RS/BR Season 1 reward.

-
Pujols for those interested

-
@SaveFarris_PSN Could be the NL Central reward.

Take a look at the screen. He's in the middle of the LS Collection screen. The AL and NL awards (still hidden) are flanking.
Pujols is 100% the MLB Collection.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN I would imagine (and hope) the championship reward would scale, but the missions (ie home runs, steals, etc) wouldn’t need to since they are repeatable.

0-39 in the collection?
30 Teams
6 divisions
2 leaguesWhat is the last one? Unless they count the card itself
His attributes are pretty on par with Beltran last year. Well at least the hitting attributes

-
@SaveFarris_PSN Who’s to say the first 2 slots aren’t the league rewards with the last one being the full collection?
-
"Because this year is all about giving you more choices and more control"
Companies need to stop saying stuff like this. Because you can't say that and continue to have things like DQ exclusive cards, which I am sure they will still do

Because that's not how graphic design works.
But good news: SDS later spoils how you get Pujols in a later screen.
-
@Dolenz_PSN No speed, not switch and not a premium position. Much worse than Beltran.
-
Nothing really excitingly new yet. Still going to hold off for now.
-
I believe they confirmed a return of event specific reward cards ( or a fan of this personally, but it’s there).
-
@GoozeFn_PSN Well that is why I kind of specified the hitting attributes.
-
Moonshot the first week of release is stupid. Its a break from facing high end pitchers, which wont exist yet.
I'm concerned with how they handle mini season rewards, and why not an option for something in between 3 and 9?
The bonus stat thing could be cool, depending on how many they allow to equip (screenshot says only 1 for Albert though). I like that they need to be earned, the contact one requires 40 hits
The stat tracking is a W though, assuming they pull it off correctly. Im guessing mini seasons will be more integrated overall with a 7 game one a good conquest alternative.
I'm most interested in inning and TA structure at this point, as the game needs improvements to both. But that will be for the live team next week I assume.
-
I'm excited about the WBC stuff. I really enjoy it in real life and it seems they are trying hard to give us some good content around it right off the bat.
I like mini seasons...and it sounds like they're trying to improve it. Just haven't ever had any luck with stat tracking, etc. So hopefully they actually do fix it. Will probably try a 9 inning 28 game season...that will take some time to finish and keep me busy through March.
Loving the changes to PXP for hitters. Couldn't really see how the parallel mods work...but that new feature should be fun to play around with. At least it gives different options and you can have the same card playing differently between 2 people now.
Overall - i'm excited about the game as i am this time every year. I didn't hate last years game as much as some, but there are tons of things they can improve on so hopefully they get some of it right. Like others have said...they really need to improve the Team Affinity this yr. It wasn't terrible through June / All Star break but then it was basically pointless.
-
@Dolenz_PSN They aren’t that much better to make up the difference. I really hope he’s not the collection.
