I’m ready for the season to start even if the Dodgers are a shoe in to 3peat. I hope I’m wrong.

Today’s topic- who has the best offense in the National League other than the Dodgers?

My initial instinct is the Mets but I’m gonna say the Cubs. Busch and Crow Armstrong are dynamic middle of the order bats should continue to get better. Suzuki has become a great run producer. Dansby, Hoerner and Happ are all solid contributors and now Bregman anchors the order.

Who do you think has the best lineup in the NL other than the Dodgers? If you think there is one bettter than the Dodgers I’d love to hear it.

I think it will be the Mets, but their pitching and defense is gonna be so bad they miss the playoffs again, and not by a little bit this time. They look too much like the 2023 padres to me

    Good to see you back!

@thebigpapa55_psn - I tend to agree with you here, although they're getting "long in the tooth". I'm thinking Harper's best days are behind him. Many of these guys are pushing well into their 30's, and I'm guessing they keep regressing.

I'm still high on the Padres. Mets will be interesting even after losing Polar Bear (but picked up Bo). I fully expect a bounce-back year from the Braves.

As far as my Pirates? Well... maybe we won't be the worst.

The Pirates are in intriguing team. Lowe and O’Hearn are two incredible additions that bolster the lineup a lot. If Oneil Cruz and Bryan Reynolds can bounce back, they could be a bit dangerous. Plus, we know that the front half of the rotation is insane with Skenes, a healthy Jared Jones, and hopefully a bounce back season from Keller. Plus, Bubba Chandler’s in line to get a lot of reps so we’ll see if he lives up to expectations. The bullpen isn’t terrible. Dennis Santana had a nice breakout season but the real question is will he continue to dominate like he did last year? If they add a few more bullpen pieces, I can see them making a run.

I appreciate that the Pirates are making moves. Maybe they aren’t the blockbuster moves the Mets have made but that offense should be demonstrably better with Lowe, O’Hearn and Mangum. BrianReynolds and O’Neil Cruz should have better opportunities with a little support. Also if Konner Griffenia ready, that would be exciting. I would like to see them add a power bat like Suarez.

I think to your question, the Phillies and Padres are likely to have solid lineus, while the Mets' lineup could either break out or crash and burn. We'll have to see how it goes but should be an interesting year for quite a few teams.

Alright, today’s topic- which AL team has the best lineup?

It feels odd to be out of the Astros era. It really is impressive what they accomplished (trash car or not) from 2017-2024. 2 World Series titles. 4 AL pennants, 7 straight trips to the ALCS and 7 division titles. Their lineups were a huge part of that.

This year I think the Mariners, Yankees, Blue Jays and Orioles have the best lineups. You?

I think you're right on, so I'll focus on a teams I'm excited to watch:

    1. Oakland/Sacramento/Las Vegas Athletics: Kurtz, Wilson, Langeliers, Soderstrom, Rooker, Butler. I mean... these guys stack up pretty well.

    2. Detroit Tigers: I'd like to see Max Clark and Kevin McGonigle make their debuts.

    3. Red Sox: Disappointed that they lost Bregman, but want to see how their youngsters do and see if Trevor can have another decent year.

I don't believe the Dodgers are an automatic ''shoe in to 3-peat''
though they are the best team on paper and the Best Team Money Can Buy also too as well and could probably win 110 games but I think when October base ball arrives they are going to find out they aren't even in the top 10 in ''hunger''. And never underestimate the hungry team. I would like to say Baltimore is going to win it all but since its been over 40 years since our last championship I don't even say ''Wait till next year.'' Instead I just wait until next year and observe the inevitable and then I repeat 3-peat 4-peat 5-peat again and wait until year after year and watch Baltimore be Baltimore. Its far too early for me to guess who exactly will win it all, maybe by May I will know but for now I'm writing off Baltimore and the Dodgers.

No doubt it's the Blue Jays. They added Okamoto on top of Guerrero Jr., Springer, Clement, Varsho, Kirk, Barger, and hopefully a bounceback year from Santander. No real weak links other than Gimenez.
