    Pitch better?

I’m not saying the game has issues but I don’t want to hear the excuse ‘hitting is too hard’ or ‘ hitting is broke’ when things are nerfed.

Oh 100% but it is frustrating when people are on 98-100 with Newhouser but also on every single one of his other 5 pitches.

But you are right. I need to be better too! Mistake pitches get punished

Mistake pitched should always get punished or at least sit hard.

Idk, I read a lot of complaints on here and other than the defensive issues specially with fly balls I enjoy the game play.

Pitching is rewarding if you stay focused and have a plan. As the user you can’t take pitches off. And if there can be perfect/perfect outs offensively I’m ok with that being evened out by perfect/perfect pitches missing spots.

Overall I feel like you can’t have a system where if the user executes perfect/perfect (in any aspect of the game) it results in 100% success rate.

I agree, every game I’ve played on all star has an insane amount of home runs and a ton of hits. People can come on here and say pitch better but I think this game is designed to be more hitter friendly. The strike zone feels way tighter than it has in the past with every boarderline pitch seemingly going to the hitter. And with the pitching it seems like even if you have a good input the ball doesn’t even end up close to where it should be. I’m all for mistakes being punished because they should be, but if you don't have a perfect release the ball seems to either catch way too much of the plate or misses the zone completely. That shouldn’t be the case, expecting players to have perfect release every pitch is just not reasonable. I can understand it if you have a really high pitch count or have a bad pitcher in. But we are talking guys like act young Kluber missing the zone and hanging pitches within the first two innings on good user input.

This game feels a lot better on HOF, pitching actually becomes usable. On all star it doesn’t seem to matter who you run out there because they get shelled.

I am not one to gripe about this game. I enjoy the heck out of it and never try and get too overwhelmed with frustration. But please for the love of god, in ranked season 0-499 AS difficulty, and 500-1200 HOF. 2 decent/good players in AS is insane. B2B nights I’ve had games that would’ve pushed me over 700. Final scores 13-11; 15 home runs hit, and 12-8; 11 home runs hit. Such an easy fix. Please please please @SDS

I agree with the difficulty change request

Idk about 500 but I’d say Wild Card Division should be HOF.

If you don't play Legend with pitch speeds maxed then you need to practice more so you can actually play the game. I feel all the other levels should be learning levels and once you advanced to Legend then the game unlocks to the full game.

I don’t know about the pitch speeds being maxed. I did that the other day before heading into a game on HOF and my timing was so jacked up lol. I was early on 100 mph fastballs 😂. Personally I’d just stick with legend but do whatever works best lol.

Once I got to 700 last season, the hitting got really really hard, I took advice of the community and practiced on hall of fame vs the computer, problem is the fastballs online seem way faster than vs the computer, I really believe there should be ONE difficulty for online, either all star, HOF, or legend. Just keep everyone at that same level ...

I actually don't think the game should unlock until you go to Yankee Stadium and step into the box against Aroldis Chapman. If you can't hit at least .400 off him in about 50 AB's, including double digit home runs, then what are you really doing with your life?

I think they should get rid of all offline modes entirely and just release a game called “MLB The Diamond Dynasty”. The full game would be unlocked at launch and would be entirely online. That way we wouldn’t have to deal with offline casuals posting their irrelevant opinions in the Diamond Dynasty subforum for online players.

It’s amazing how little respect is shown to people who aren’t the greatest at this game but enjoy it. I’m sorry but how can a casual player ever upgrade his team if everything is on H of Fame and legend?

A ranked playlist should be harder. You don't see casual athletes get rewarded for not practicing in real life correct?

You also don't have "casual" athletes being forced to play in professional leagues in real life. They play in lesser amateur leagues that better match their skills. Unfortunately this year sds decided the lesser skilled should get stomped out instead.

The lesser skilled divisions being 599 and below on AS would be meant for those lesser skilled players then. Those being on AS would provide a fun experience. 600 and above are filled with a lot of very good players that sometimes get stuck on all star.

I actually agree with that. My issue is that the pitch speeds and timing window on all star is jacked this year. There's no way casual/below average players are going to have fun with this.

But yeah, I'd have no problem if the threshold was 600, and I've also said for a long time now that there should be a toggle to choose what difficulty level you want to play on in matchmaking, even if it takes longer to get into a match.

Do you understand if you are lesser skilled but want to play online u don’t want to play on AS? I am not good enough for AS I am not going to lie I get lucky offline there once in a while. Rather play an opponent on Veteran if he is veteran too.

Do you not understand that RANKED is a competitive game mode. You will struggle if you don't play enough. Just like anything in life, how do you expect to be good at something you don't practice at? And if you do practice and still can't win, then well sometimes you just have to eat losses until you find a way.

All star difficulty is the opposite of competitive. The PCI is so big to the point where you can get good results just by putting it anywhere near the pitch. There’s almost no advantage to putting the PCI perfectly on the ball since there’s a good chance it ends up as good/okay.

Not to mention pitching is way more random on all star as well. Not only that, but strikeouts are near impossible with how big the PCIs are. Joey Gallo should never be fouling off 8 pitches in an at bat, especially when multiple swings are very late/very early.

I agree weaker players shouldn’t be allowed to be high up in ranked. I want there to be a mode where I can play casually and still be considered online. If I am missing it let me know because all of the online missions I know of have to be in ranked, battle royale, and events? I cannot succeed in any of those 3.

On the topic of losing., what fun is it if I play those 3 modes and got killed every game? I am not a good player so I wish there was an online mode where I could accomplish missions and not get smoked.
