Most Disappointing Cards of the Year
-
Mets just signed Polanco, but i was terrible with his POM card!
The Rap Dixon 99 was jokingly bad for me.
His 86 stayed with me all year. I put in the 99, and his swing was so bad I put the 86 (which became a 91 at p5) back!
Rolen was shockingly good for me.
I'm sure there are othersni can't think of now. -
Captains. Every single one of them. Completely worthless.

Cpt. Morgan would like a word w/you 🤪
Cpt. Crunch as well. -

Eric Gagne has entered the chat -
Pendleton with the short kings team build is dope, albeit niche.
-
Eric Gagne is always a favorite of mine. Not sure how he’ll fair given they took away his 70 MPH curveball.
-
Brian Roberts captain is a singles machine, otherwise the others no bueno.
-
I don’t understand their issues with Willie Mays. The only time they’ve released a god squad type of card for Willie Mays is at the end of the game cycle. Otherwise it’s always been a mediocre to crappy 99.
-
Ozzie Smith Cards - While I do use his Moonshot card my issue is
-
The 13 time Gold Glover has 87 fielding on one card and 85 on the other.
-
He is 22nd all time in Stolen bases but only has 85 speed and 60 steal on one card and 92 speed and 79 steal on the other.
-
-
@Dolenz_PSN yeah, I use the moonshot Ozzie card in my lineup often at SS. I feel really, really bad subbing him out for pinch runner Made.

-
Sure wish they would drop an Ian Kinsler captain card!!
-
@platewelder_363_ he has a JOLT Captain card already so they're not going to release another card of his that's a Captain
-
My Terry P. team (5'10") is decent as well as Hal and Buck Hitting and Captain boost!!
-
No one would argue Aaron Nola had the best of years, but he has the highest active career WAR to not get a Flashback card.

That card is one of my favorites this year. What a beast.

I think Peterson wins the 'deserved a card he didnt get' award. Like the rest of the Mets starters he collapsed in rhe second, however:
Didn't get a card in 2024, after going 10-3 with a 2.91 era in 21 starts.
Didn't get a shut out Topps Now
Didn't get an All Star card
Didnt get a spotlight for a 1.05 ERA in July (Only bringing this up because after shafting him on the previous two items they could have easily slotted him into a spotlight card) -
One of my most disappointing cards (I have several) of the year is Cal Raleigh. I try to like his card but I feel his swing takes forever to get through the strikezone and consequently he groundsout a lot. It's like I have start his swing a half second earlier. I always find my way back to Biz Mackey or Josh Gibson, although that Gary Carter Finest is pretty darn good too.

Other than a few prolific no-doubt homers, that Finest Big Dumper has been a letdown for me as well.
