Rexy from Jurassic Park maybe? All jokes aside, none had signed until recently. There's two now though, none big names. -
BREAKING NEWS: METS TO SIGN CP DEVIN WILLIAMS TO 3 YEAR - 51 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT
-
This is only a good signing if we re-sign Diaz. I DO NOT trust Devin Williams as our closer next year. I mean what makes us think he's going to perform well in Queens if he couldn't perform in the Bronx? The expectations are still there, and the pressure to replace Diaz arguably brings even more pressure.
Edit: I also updated the list, missed a few minor league signings from last week but they should be in there now. Also, Devin Williams is guaranteed 51 million, however, there are deferrals that knock down the total value by about 15 million. -
BREAKING NEWS: SP CODY PONCE SIGNS 3 YEAR - 30 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT WITH BLUE JAYS

Former Mets prospect SP Anthony Kay to the White Sox - 2 years - 12 million
Edit: daily update has been made. Apparently, the beginning of December is when teams decided to sign every former MLB pitcher who had revivals internationally. Ponce, Ryan Weiss, and now Anthony Kay have all signed in the last two days - all starting pitchers. As we're approaching the winter meetings, it's safe to say the Blue Jays have been the most active team this offseason so far, signing both Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce to bolster their rotation, followed by the Mets and Orioles. New York acquired Marcus Semien in a 1-1 swap with the Rangers for Brandon Nimmo while also signing yet another Yankee star, Devin Williams. The Orioles acquired Taylor Ward from the Halos in a 1-1 for Grayson Rodriguez while signing Ryan Helsley to a two-year deal. As for my take on the Cease deal, I think this is a MASSIVE overpay. 210 million dollars for a guy with a 4.55 ERA in 2025 with a 9.8% walk rate, the third worst among qualified starters last season? Seriously, what were they thinking. I would've given Cease no more than 125 million dollars for no more than 5 seasons. The Blue Jays paid close to double that. On the flip-side, Cease led the MLB in K/9 and had his 5th straight 200+ strikeout season. Don't forget he pitched a no-hitter in 2024 and is a former AL Cy Young runner-up back in 2022. He's good, and now with the addition of Cody Ponce the Blue Jays have Gausman, Cease, Bieber, Yesavage, Ponce, Berrios, Lauer, and Bowden Francis as rotation options, solidifying an absolute powerhouse of a rotation, but I think this is a bit of a weak move on Toronto's part. Cease has an incredibly high ceiling, but the overpay is nuts. Plus, Cease isn't the best pitcher on the market. I would've gone with someone like Ranger Suarez or Tatsuya Imai. -
