Pictures for all 30 Team Affinity Finest cards are actually shown in this thread. Trea Turner's card is in the second post

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was responding to your other post about the TA cards not being God Squad worthy. I was hoping Trea Turner is worthy of a spot

13 starting pitchers?
That's wildly imbalanced and so many cards just won't get much run because of it. -

Looking at my reports only
- 12 teams had 2 position player captains and 2 pitcher captains
- 13 teams had 3 position player captains and 1 pitcher captains
- 5 teams had 4 position player captains and 0 pitcher captains
Of the 13 teams with 3 position captains and only 1 pitcher captain
- 6 were 85 overall Jolt Series
- 2 were 91 overall Color Storm cards
For totals there currently (pre-finest) 83 Position Captains and 37 Pitcher Captains. There were a lot of non-existent or outdated pitcher captain cards
I for one hope that they are generous with extra Finest cards for some teams. I understand why the Cardinals are getting a pitcher but we have
A Gold Glover (Winn) with a 89 moonshot card that has only 67 fielding
A Silver Slugger (Burleson) with a 94 June Spotlight
The team leader in HRs and RBIs (Contreras) with a 91 May Spotlight -
@Dolenz_PSN Appreciate your effort, as always.
Hopefully the follow up cards are mainly hitters, but 13 starting pitchers just means that the vast majority will never get used online because inevitably people will hone in on the best couple and use them given we can only use one at a time.
Even with the hitters, it's imbalanced.
There's literally three hitters who aren't outfielders or shortstops, and two of those are catchers. There's no first or second basemen, at all.
I hope they fill the gaps with the program, but the imbalance across the board is pretty poor in my view.
-
Well, I don't believe the Finest choice should be balanced across all positions. It should be the Finest players for the teams regardless of position.
But they have boxed themselves into a corner by committing to making the Finest Cards captain cards, if they intended to keep the captain cards somewhat balanced. I believe that was a mistake. Maybe they should have been Retro Finest because that would have given SDS more options without potentially ignoring worthy players.
And just as an FYI here is the number of captains by positions
Pos Cards 1B 11 2B 8 3B 11 C 10 CF 8 CP 4 LF 12 RF 10 RP 6 SP 27 SS 14 -
@Dolenz_PSN Ugh needed to be Winn or Burly, you know, the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger winners, Gray sucks

Key players for teams should get high diamonds. Not everyone needs to be 99 as these guys would be used with captains anyway
The Mets have been treated quite well by SDS in the second half, but Nimmo is still messing a card based around his offense and I'd like to see Clay Holmes get a diamond as he actually pitched well down the stretch after some initial post all star struggles and ended up with a very respectable year
And every team can point to players like this
-
Nimmo is in! Nice!

There was no need to give Tatis another card, nor was there really a need to give Raleigh another card.

Schwarber is FAR more questionable, since his prior card is easily obtainable and is already way better than even a juiced Schwarber card should be.
The prior Raleigh card had worse defense than his live series, and the old Tatis was a multiplayer card while this one is a miniseason grind. Pretty much opposite game modes.

@Teak2112_MLBTS
I see what you're saying, but that doesn't mean that warrants another card (if it weren't for Dolenz's post just now I didn't know Schwarber got a card). Tatis's old 99 was fine the way it was and so was Raliegh's (however, it is nice to see him wear #29 instead of #3). Plus, catchers' defense does not matter in this game. The 99 J.T. Realmuto can allow a stolen base to Yasmani Grandal on a perfect throw (which half the time ends up at the shorstop's head instead of his ankle), yet Agustin Ramirez could throw out 99 Elly who got a perfect jump. -
There are going to be 60+ cards this year. The dupes are fine. A 60+ card finest with dupes is far superior to a 40 card one without dupes. Finest 25 is a big win this year so far, especially after last year's mailed in failure.

There are 66 so far with more to come.
