    Andy Pettitte is sometimes called, “The best playoff pitcher of all time.” Now, I don’t know if all that is true, I do believe he is the best since before MLB The Show has been a game. Anyway, my point is we should get an Andy Pettitte card that is usable. 95H/9 doesn’t play well at this point in the game. Yes, even the 100 at parallel 5.

    Thank you.

    Huh? Who says this?

    Rivera might be though...

    Andy pitched a lot of games but he is not even remotely in the same league as Schilling or Bumgarner from a similar era. Then we get into guys like Smoltz and obviously the greats like Gibson.

    I doubt he is in the top 50.

    A 99 Whitey Ford would be nice as well

    Andy Pettite was fairly consistent and solid, but his number of postseason games and totals are the result of compilation and time. Not dominance. For postseason dominance there are quite a few that would rank much higher, i.e Koufax all time or Bumgarner from similar era at least. Just to name a couple.

    He still holds the record for most playoff wins (19), but it's a function of:
    A. the Yankees being in the playoffs seemingly every year during his career.
    B. the number of playoff games and rounds exponentially increasing during his tenure. (If Whitey Ford had to play through at least 3 rounds every year, he'd have racked up postseason numbers as untouchable as anyone.)

    Either way, Pettitte's already got a 99 this year and he's not getting another.

    @SaveFarris_PSN
    Pettitte was a Yankee, and I understand that nobody on this forum likes that. Also, the wins are not the reason he is considered the beat playoff
    pitcher. I understand that intangibles are not recognized in DD. I love Whitey Ford, however, as you stated, he didn’t play in the playoff era.
    To your last point, Clemens already had a 99, but now he has two. I do agree that he is not going to get another card. I also feel that would upset many people who post here.
    I appreciate your feedback, I know you are a person with great baseball knowledge.

    @Finn_Scotus_MLBTS

    Many baseball analysts say this. I have never heard this said about the pitchers you referenced. Rivera is considered the greatest closer, but not just the playoffs, that’s why he got into the HOF unanimously.
