What makes a game fun for you?
-
I play 2 games only, I play MLB and love the grind to get the cards and I play Mario Kart whenever I watch my niece because she likes it and likes beating me in it, she's only 11 but is really good at that game
-
My library is significantly smaller than it used to be. I played every Madden, NHL, MLB, and NBA every so often. Was always an offline guy but could never really dial home the actual realism and stats that I really wanted so I switched to online and that became mind numbing arcade style. I quit everything but MLB because I can sort of find a decent mix, plus its my favorite sport.
Only other thing I play are some RPG, primarily Final Fantasy series.
Was a big Call of Duty guy, but that has gone straight garbage.
I feel like there are no great games anymore just companies churning out anything that sticks. -
for this game it's simple. I love baseball. I don;t really get into the multiplayer modes. I love franchise, stadium creator, miniseasons and many of the programs, conquest was great this year. It's my first year really doing diamond dynasty.

Very different things. Games I am currently playing
- MLB The Show - I enjoy baseball and it is the only sport I even remotely follow
- Strange Antiquities - A deduction puzzle game (I enjoyed the Dev's first game Strange Horticulture). I get more of a sense of accomplishment out of a good puzzle game.
- Borderlands 4 - For mindless shooting and loot gathering.
- Roadcraft - Kind of on pause for Borderlands but this is my "chill" game.
- Puzzling Places - The ultimate chill experience - Put on some calming music, put on the VR headset and spend a few hours putting together a 200 piece 3d puzzle

Mario Kart is the best. I don’t play it a ton since I got my Xbox but used to play it all the time after the show -

Sorry about your collarbone. Hope you get better soon! -
For this game, I'm strictly RTTS, and I enjoy making new players, coming up with their characters, and developing them to become some of the best in the sport. I prefer simple, straightforward game mechanics (no interest in having to play some mini-game every time I have to throw to first) and adjusting difficulty levels to whatever I'm feeling in the moment (sometimes I want a challenge, sometimes i just wanna pwn the other team). Sometimes I'll even imagine my various players know each other and create little dialogues for them about various things, because I come from an RPG background and that's how my brain works.

Competitive online play. Hardcore baseball fan, so The Show has always been my go to sports game. To me, it’s the only sports game with an actual skill gap. Madden, FIFA, NHL, 2K, you can buy yourself wins. MLB you can take someone who is above average and give them a 99 God squad and put them up against YFK, OhChev, Mangoes, etc with an all silver team and the more talented player wins 95% of the time

I play a verity of different games and genres. The only thing that makes or breaks a game for me is game play quality. If the game plays like it is advertised too then I could care less about it being a grind, or being repetitive, or the case of The Show the content. I can deal with sub par content like in 22 and 23 when the game played well. You got rewarded for good swings and punished for bad swings. This year's game and 24 just do not play according to SDS masthead. Clearly states "stick skills rain supreme", but play on any difficulty and you'll see that they have broke thier hitting and pitching engines (coding). I have stated this plenty and you'll get your delusional individuals that will come in and do the whole, thats how baseball is speel. Which just proves 1) that they don't understand how video games are controlled by RNG and 2) that they can't make intelligent additions to a conversation without attacking some else's post.

@Auburn2525_XBL
Ive actually faced OhChev before. He was legitimatly the best player ive ever faced. I played really well but lost 15-9 in Weekend Classic. The game is in one of his videos where he goes 6-0 -

Thanks, It's actually healing really well, already in physical therapy but still very limited to what I can do with it. There were definitely alot of sleepness nights in the beginning but now that I'm getting used to it I get a couple hours a night
