At least 90% used the meta switch-hitting Rollins … that is not the answer. There will always be the meta-lineups. That is why creative ideas in new mode specifically for binder-usage is necessary … imo

@YOSHI24_XBL thats because they had a switch hitting captain. Just add the system back but don’t have switch hitter captains is all.

@MarioMendoza935_XBL yeah, it's interesting that this at least pushes you to play online with other cards. I'd rather it be required to play that way, instead of just incentivized for the xp path, but it's a step in the right direction anyway.
Usually, I call Events "sweatin to the oldies" because it feels like only oldhead 800-plus players play it. But, I've been going on 9 and 10 game win streaks lately - all these mid players just playing it for the moonshot program.
Also, I don't know why they can't make the CPU play more like a human. That would really help offline modes.

Also I hate playing 9 inning games online - and almost never wanna do it. Three innings is fine. I got kids and lots of distractions - hate feeling glued to one game for an hour (especially with all the lag and jank of online games)

I agree on the switch-hitter, because it built THE Meta lineup … I do not agree on your last sentence. As long as there are meta lineups in a ranked mode they will be used more often than others, especially experimenting lineups with your binder.
Therefore .. imo:- Ranked should be ranked. Best lineup vs best lineup
- Do experimenting stuff somewhere else. Let guys compete with restrictions … let‘s see who collected best and/or is able to built good lineups with his/her binder… this could be less than 9 inning games too like @rubicante23_PSN asked for

Yeah all the people talking about lineup variety, when I ran into Buxton nearly exclusively early and then the switch hitters later on. I hate to say it, but any variety was caused by the expiring cards last year when they expired fast.
2023 had the Ripken team, but the issue is the captains were in packs. My favorite captain was the SS captain. That was fun and I played with that team quite a bit.

Yes, and this is what not having lineup variety looks like … Everybody plays his god squad, because they can and because fielding a team with higher winning pct gets more rewards
That is why „we“ ask for a new mode with more restrictions.
And Buxton was not it bc most ppl had way better options
