SDS we should all stand up and give you a slow clap because you easily have sports game of the year locked for what I believe is the fourth year running. It might even be the fifth year. The amount of fun I have had playing this year can’t be described in just a few words. Diamond Dynasty is alive and doing very well. You guys nailed it this year. Final score 10/10

I understand the desire to balance the negativity hurled at SDS on this board. However, statements like the one above are so ridiculous one has to wonder if it’s an attempt at humor. Either way: no.

Doesn’t mean it’s great. Definitely does it make it a 10/10 solely for that reason. We’re comparing the game to previous releases, not other franchises. Yes that statement is true, but it’s irrelevant. -

2023 was sets and seasons so no
2022 had too few programs, packs were overpowered and collections were far less interesting, and it also had the old hitting engine and display (which was objectively worse I can assure you)
I started in 22 so I cant evaluate 21, but MLB 25 is by far the best MLB the Show that I have ever played. -
For me content is king with gameplay important as well, and 2023 easily beats 2025 in those areas.
But yeah, I couldnt use some cards for longer than 6 weeks. Personally never had issues with finding new cards I wanted to use though. And it was still the best iteration of captains with a guaranteed hitter and pitcher for every theme team plus lots of fun captain cards like the SS one.
