Cards shown in Signature card Video for today
-
I hope I got the teams right. Had to use a freeze frame of the video and they were kind of hard to see
99 Cubs Jake Arrieta
99 Orioles Darren O'Day (Collection)
99 Yankees Jorge Posada (Collection)
99 Yankees Bernie Williams
99 Mets David Wright (Program)
99 Angels (?) Don Baylor (Mini Season)
98 Giants Matt Cain
98 Detroit Tony Clark
98 Padres Mark Davis
98 Brewers Prince Fielder
98 Rockies DJ LeMahieu (Mini Season)
98 Marlins Mike Lowell
98 Twins Justin Morneau (Program)
99 Yankees Andy Pettitte (Program)
99 Reds Reggie Sanders
99 Twins Johan Santana (Mini Season)Sorry if your team got ignored but you know they had to give 3 new 99 overalls to the Yankees
I guess I will stick with my Ozzie Smith with poor defense and Lou Brock with poor base stealing a little while longer
-
I assume this is the pack and there is still program and mini seasons rewards to come
The top 5 cards listed have the Beltran style art so would I assume could be rare round, with the other 99s having the standard signature design and would be mid round
Strong chance Posada is collection reward I guess

That's a big assumption. I hope your right but I won't be holding my breath.

They really need a legends round of TA. This would have been a good set to do it with
-
A bunch of these cards should have a potential to be on a god squad on ranked. Probably one of the strongest drops theyโve had.
-
That 99 Orioles Darren O'day. Please god no.
-
The Andy Pettite, David Wright and Justin Mornue are the program cards via new post by SDS
-
16 cards shown - Only 3 in program
-
I hate this so much. If there are 16 cards and a program, then there should be at least 10 cards in the program. I am sick of garbage programs.
The Verlander/Alonso type programs are great, thats what card light programs are for, but for card series centered programs 3 cards is insulting and everyone involved in this decision, be it SDS or Sony, needs a firm kick in the groin.
Especially with the share volume of legends that deserve another card. Great time to drop, for example, a 97 Lou Brock now and then you can do the 99 one in October.
Edit: I guess signature really should be the top cards a player gets for the year so 97s may not make sense, but the point is still there that 3 card programs for a card series should never be acceptable
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS they announced mini seasons drop today so perhaps a handful of them are there
-
I don't think it's right some teams get more than 1 signature series player. Spread the wealth to all teams.

I've always said that based on their history and the size of their fan base that I understand the Yankees having the most cards but this drop will put them about 12 cards ahead of the nearest competitor (The Dodgers with 47) and more than 40 cards ahead of the last place team (Diamondbacks with 18)
So it is not about them having the most cards it is about the ratio in comparison to other teams.

My Scott Rolen replacement, FINALLY, DAVID WRIGHT!!!

Doesnt change my stance that programs should be 10+ cards for a series like this
Why not give the DBacks a Goldschmidt or Finley here?
-
I had to doublecheck that LuGo is in the game this year. He is, but barely. The team with 18 total legends in flashbacks has one of their top player in history having only a silver card for the Marlins

As much as I would like a Cardinals MVP Goldy it would be hard to be mad at them giving him a Juiced Diamondback card. They are hurting bad when it comes to being able to field a decent theme team. Only Colorado is worse and they are getting a card today that might push them ahead of Arizona.

Because SDS just doesn't care about smaller market teams, I guess. They milked the [censored] out of the Red Sox this year, so why not add a Curt Schilling or a Moises Alou, or even a Josh Beckett, or a Troy Tulowitzki. Something to help out Arizona, Miami, or Colorado.
-
Can't wait for my 99 DJ Lemahieu!!!
-
So no Phillies cards at all?
