Looking thru the program... i'm 6 cards short of Griffey and I don't see any way to earn those players? They all have to be purchased or pulled?
They can be pulled in any of the July Drop packs. You'll earn 5 packs (including one Guaranteed pack) in the program.

It is highly unlikely you will luck into a retro lightning. I havent bought any cards off marketboard and am 5 cards from Santana, 3 cards from Harper, 5 cards from Grich. Granted I could buy those out for fairly cheap if I wanted, but the game this year is entirely based around collections that will require to use stubs on (but only real money if you are impatient) unless you have lottery winning luck

You'll be 4 cards away from Santana and 4 cards away from Grich. New program has Guaranteed packs for April and June.

The April is only a Week 1 regular pack.
But I could easily complete all 3 (with stubs) if I really was worried about it -
Wow that Griffey card is somehow even better than I expected.

I have 6 spotlight players that I’ve collected as they came out now the rewards are out for them I can’t get Jackson chourio or the spotlight pack
-
@SaveFarris_PSN The Kurtz thing can be thrown aside. They didn't know he was going to tie the MLB record for Total Bases in a game so soon after his 98 card.
-
Collect the Spotlight players you got through the Programs (Bellinger, Barger, Langeliers, Duran) to get Adames 2.0
Collect the Spotlight players from the packs to get Chourio & Griffey.

Only having one Rickey Henderson at this point in the season, for instance, is absurd.
If we hunted I am sure we could find more.
Stan Musial's only real card is an 88. True he has 2 cards but the were in the common courtesy program so one is a 64.
I know that they need to hold back some good players for later in the year but were niether Henderson or Musial worthy of a mid 90's card of some form?
This gave me a couple of good report ideas for my App. A breakdown of cards by decade and if I can find a comprehensive source (which should not be hard) a list of all cards for players who a members of the Hall of Fame.
Reggie Sanders is one of the most egregious as I have said before. New legend, at least 6 teams he could have a card for, and just a single 85. He couldnt even make the summer program with SAND in his name. Hes not a Musial/Henderson level of player...not even close...but why pay him and not use him?
What hasn't helped is the abandonment of power creep. They were too afraid to not give 99s out by all star break because thats what theyve done before.
If my programs and calculations are correct here is a list of actual Hall of Fame Players with only a single card in the game below a 90 OVR
| Player | # of Cards | Highest OVR | | ----------------- | ---------- | ----------- | | Andy Cooper | 1 | 86 | | Babe Ruth | 1 | 85 | | Bill Foster | 1 | 86 | | Biz Mackey | 1 | 85 | | Brooks Robinson | 1 | 86 | | Buck Leonard | 1 | 83 | | Bullet Rogan | 1 | 80 | | Craig Biggio | 1 | 85 | | David Ortiz | 1 | 88 | | Don Sutton | 1 | 89 | | Duke Snider | 1 | 85 | | Edgar Martinez | 1 | 84 | | Gary Carter | 1 | 80 | | George Brett | 1 | 85 | | Harmon Killebrew | 1 | 87 | | Ivan Rodriguez | 1 | 86 | | Jeff Bagwell | 1 | 86 | | Johnny Bench | 1 | 86 | | José Méndez | 1 | 86 | | Judy Johnson | 1 | 85 | | Larry Doby | 1 | 89 | | Mike Mussina | 1 | 87 | | Monte Irvin | 1 | 85 | | Orlando Cepeda | 1 | 84 | | Oscar Charleston | 1 | 84 | | Paul Molitor | 1 | 85 | | Rollie Fingers | 1 | 85 | | Todd Helton | 1 | 86 | | Tom Glavine | 1 | 86 | | Trevor Hoffman | 1 | 88 | | Turkey Stearnes | 1 | 80 | | Vladimir Guerrero | 1 | 85 | | Wade Boggs | 1 | 87 |

I think once you collect enough for Griffey; you'll get the other 2 items.

Some of those guys dont even have a diamond yet...
Gary Carter: has a low gold
Mets Theme team: still using a gold catcher they got day 1While I assume a 99 Piazza is coming (the Mets didnt even get a Piazza last year) its absurd there wasnt a 92ish Carter to bridge the gap.
And with TA getting very little focus this year, wouldn't now be an especially good time to give the Negro Leagues guys some love?
