@dbub_PSN I agree, I can't understand why it has to be in sync with the ceremony ending. Just release it or wait until Tuesday and release it at the normal time.
Dolenz suggested in the other thread it could be because MLB doesnt want the cards released before, they do have the plaques on them if they stick with that card type. Makes sense to me.
Better Sunday afternoon than Tuesday, but they should have had a retro HoF program with the inning drop.

I would love to see Ichiro added back but honestly no idea if they will. Guess ima have to wait and see later or something lol
Something going on with the Japanese players.
They couldn’t show the Ohtani/Suzuki ASG cards on socials and didn’t show the Lee Giants Color Storm either.

@dbub_PSN they’ve been doing the same for weeks. Their goal is $$$, but the SDS defenders in these forums act like lawyers. They don’t have accountability.
It really is pathetic how the SDS Fanboys defend everything they do. And then more evidence comes out every single week until we now have a mountain of evidence that SDS is going way more for profits than they ever have before.

Wagner and Allen are acquired by getting every collection of a player completed lol makes sense
-
You did a great program to earn Beltre and forget the other one last year and players loved it but this year your like .... players like what we did last year giving ALL the HoFers to them through programs but this year. Nope let try and get stubs from them and be greedy --
I am going to have to seriously consider removing this game off my PS5 -- You do not learn
-
Outfield assist program on the calendar now. There is the Acuna card people are wanting.
I'm possibly done this year, unless they put out a great TA round before finest. I'm just not motivated for collections and programs with only 1 or 2 players

As somebody who is often accused of being a Fanboy, and much worse I would just like to point out this post by me from over 2 years ago.

Pay to win is never the proper term for this game as having better cards guarantees nothing if you are bad at the game.
But that being said, I am baffled if people really can't see how much more aggressively they are pushing monetization, especially stub sales this year.
- Reduced Stub payouts for playing
- Reduced Stub payouts in moments.
- Reduced/delayed Stub payouts in Showdowns.
- More "No Sell" cards than ever before in program rewards.
- A new 50K pack in the store twice a week to get players to gamble trying to get a 99.
None of it is required so it is not pay to win but they are all measures to try and convince players that it is just easier to buy stubs in the end.
So there's a part of me that just shakes my head now when people act like this is something new. Its a path they started a while back so I wonder where everyone was back then?
But what do I know, I am just a Fanboy.

Call that a day folks … Got 99 Batista and made 800K today selling of all the cards I did not have to lock in (including 99 Marte) …
And seeing the renewed and boring „pay to win“-comments … Folks, until now: Not a single flip (meaning getting more than 1 card to make profit off of it) … Bought the cards low to play with them, sold off high … Just play the game and do not buy every card/pack when they release … e.g. the Spotlight Kurtz … he is very high rn … wait until wednesday when the next spotlight drops

Good for you.
Yes, you can get every card in the game without spending a single dollar.
A model can be not pay to win, but also complete [censored] at the same time."grind for stubs > buy cards" with stubs will always be far inferior to "grind for cards"

It's not pay to win it's the fact they lock more of the content behind spending stubs and MAYBE buying them but it's not pay to win. I mean look at the programs now over the past few years ... take the POTM as a perfect example.
They had us earn like forget the number but like 8 to 12 of them -- EARN -- understand that word EARN -- not RNG luck from a pack and not spending stubs in the shop. Earned them from playing the dang game so the fanboys cannot even refute this cause THIS is a fact.
However I am eager to see how the clueless fanboys can defend this ----- waiting ...

See above. I fought that fight two years ago. I am still not a fan at all and will occasionally have a small tirade against it but it just got tiring.
Bottom line - If their strategy is working and they are making more off stub sales while maintaining their player count then we, collectively as players, have given them very little reason to change course.

Meanwhile 2K is putting cards EVERY WEEK that are only obtainable if you spend 1,000+ dollars. And it amounts to giving a terrible player like Georghe Muresan the best animations in the game so a 7'7 dude who never even attempted a 3 pointer in a game can drain 3s like steph curry draining free throws
Still doesnt make what SDS is doing player friendly

I was able to get Bautista, Wagner and Allen. Lately it seems all I have played is that Draft conquest map, so I slowly built the stubs up to buy what cards I needed. Was able to sell off a few I didn't need, was sitting at around 160k. Bought the new Manny and Utley. Did horrible in the Weekend Classic, went 2-4. I know those two card will go down but I want to use them.
I suppose a smart person would have saved the stubs and put them towards Marte. But I do seem to have trouble hitting with Ted, thought the new Manny could replace him. 150k is a lot of conquest maps to grind to get to Marte!

I started the day with 292 stubs (not 292,000... Just 292) and by doing the same thing as you I have over 750,000 right now. Still waiting for some orders to go through. I'll take it...

This is a pretty disappointing drop. I realize they are confined to the guys that got inducted and I’m ok with how they did it, but Jose Bautista as the big collection is a massive disappointment. Cy Young and Rod Carew are also some of the least exciting legends in this game.

"Siri, what is the goal of a business?"
Got Allen and Wagner with what I already had. Will be getting Bautista as soon as the next CHASE sale hits.
And I'm fine with that.
-
I think it's just wild that the card they decide to soup up is a legend who will never be in the Hall of Fame. They essentially made him, statistically on paper, the best card in the game. Then leave all the HOF player cards lower tier 99s. Cy Young has always been unusable online. Why not just make his H/9 near 125?
Why then give Bautista attributes like he had one of the great MLB seasons in history. Great season but its not like he batted .350.

Putting Wagner behind a collection is atrocious. Just when I’m enjoying the game you remind me of why I get sick of it.
Silly kid. He is the easiest out of all them to get.
