MLB draft is a funky draft. It’s not always about selecting the best player, but more about the best player who will sign for under the slotted value.

They probably weren’t expecting Eli Willits to go number 1. A lot of people thought it would be Ethan Holiday (Jackson’s brother)
As a Cardinals fan and a Matt Holliday fan. I hoped Ethan might fall to 5 but didn't. But based on what we have seen of the Cardinals this year they desperately need a restock of their pitching.

@KingBlezz420_XBL yeah they got possibly the best player in the draft. A good hitting third baseman with a sweet swing. The ball is going to fly out of that park.

Yeah could be pretty solid. I'm curious to see if he'll be good enough to use over Elly or Lindor ASG cards.

@Pergo_MLBTS he played in the same state as Ethan. Switch hitter,super fast and great contact. Probably enough power to hit homers consistently
