Here are your 30 All-Star Team Affinity cards and other reveals

@Teak2112_MLBTS yeah this is so disappointing. Content. I just want playable content. Cards are great but why can’t they for once get it right? Do both. Here are the cards, and here are missions to use them on to get more cards???? It’s not rocket science SDS. If you want me to play the game, give me lots of game to play.

Acuna out of the Derby really sucks! I wonder what SDS will do now since Olson already got the ASG card. Please just give us a 99 Acuna anyway!
-
@Pergo_MLBTS Welp, I guess my longest HR of the derby guess will go straight to the loser collection!

Dang, I picked him, Raleigh and Rooker. I guess Rooker could take a run at it.
-
@samguenther1987_PSN I think Raleigh and Rooker both have a great shot at taking it!

Just finished up the Showdown. Pretty quick and easy. One tip if you haven't played it yet, even though its Webb at the end there are a couple of lefty bosses at the beginning, so not a bad idea to grab a few righties or switch hitters. But then it becomes all righties for the last 4 or 5 (I forget exact numbers). The pitchers are decent but as with all showdowns you'll get plenty of fastballs down the middle and hanging breaking balls to hit. I think the Lindor ASG card was by far my best hitter in this run.
I just finished the All-Star Game 2025 Showdown too and here’s who I faced.
Max Fried (LHP)
Tied game, No Runners on Base, 10 outsKris Bubic (LHP)
Down 2 Runs, No Runners on Base, 14 outsJacob deGrom (RHP)
Down 5 Runs, Bases Loaded, 13 outsZach Wheeler (RHP)
Down 1 Run, No Runners on Base, 11 outsPaul Skenes (RHP)
Down 3 Runs, Runner on 2B, 14 outsYoshinobu Yamamoto (RHP)
Down 4 Runs, Runners on 1B and 3B, 15 outsLogan Webb (RHP)
Down 3 Runs, No Runners on Base, 27 outs -
@kadylac1_PSN I take it that you didn't lose any challenges? Or was that with one failed challenge?
-
@dap1234567890_PSN No fails, but I was tempted to skip the last Mini-Boss.
-
@kadylac1_PSN Good to know, thanks! I don't blame you wanting to just skip Yamamoto!

I hope they give cards like Acuna, Peterson, and Misiorowski in the all star program
-
Misiorowski is an exciting young pitcher. but he has only pitched in 5 games and and 25.2 innings. He does not belong in the All Star game.
Yeah, with Zach Wheeler deciding not to participate I am baffled how they did not add one of the other deserving Phillies pitchers

I have to assume the Phillies said no, its the only valid reason
Same thing with Senga and his now 1.39 ERA

Apparently they called Sanchez first, they wanted a commitment to pitch at least 1 inning, he declined since he’s starting Sunday. They then contacted Suarez and asked him to commit as well, he declined since he wants to rest for the second half.
It shouldn’t be this way, they earned the selection, why penalize a player for putting the team first?? They both lose out on the award and the bonuses because MLB decided to make a requirement outside of being a top player. Turning the ASG back into a joke with the Misiorowski selection. Turner even on record saying it devalues the prestige of being selected.
They started this with the absurdity of selecting Alonso last year over Lindor so he would play in the HRD.

They should just give the spot to a guy like Morejon

Actually chuckled, another joke of a selection
-
This Fernando Tatis card is a disgrace. I get that he’s been cold lately, but his offensive numbers are trash. His offense has been very similar to Lindor who got a great card.
-
Actually Sanchez didn't say no because he was more than willing but MLB said no because your pitching Sunday but he said he didn't care. He has a 50k bonus if he makes to the All Star game in his contract, luckily the Phillies decided to pay him that bonus anyway
-
Semantics, he/the team, were asked and declined to change their regular season schedule. Proud of the leadership for flipping off the league in this situation.
“The league had contacted manager Rob Thomson and president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski, inviting Sánchez to be an All-Star but only if he could pitch in Tuesday's game. The Phillies declined to change their pitching schedule, but opted to trigger the All-Star bonus in Sánchez's contract instead.”

Lindor is a switch hitter with a good swing who can make people use stubs.
Tatis has sucked against lefties this year, and they leaned into the source of his high WAR (defense and baserunning) which doesnt make for a great card. -
@Teak2112_MLBTS Tatis has an even better swing. People would absolutely use stubs to buy him if he was given a better card. Yes, Tatis has been bad against lefties, but his stats vs righties don’t add up comparatively. He got 99 contact and 95 power vs right for hitting .289/.377/.502 vs right. Lindor got 103 contact and 106 power for .267/.344/.484. It’s pretty clear they aren’t just going off their stats.
