Okay, I tried the Showdown multiple times. It once again reminded me of why I am not playing as much.

Dotting pitchers who manage to dot their curveballs and sweepers (at least the Showdown pitchers are good pitchers)

Weak exit velocity on hits in the PCI. Pop ups and ground balls galore. And these are high 90 players with good attributes

Solid contact hits right at fielders, both infield and outfield.

Diving catches in the outfield. Sliding stab stops by first basemen.
I ended up quitting it multiple times. If I am not getting past guys when I am only a couple of runs down then there is no way I can go into the final showdown 10 or more runs down because I failed some of the mini bosses along the way.
Best cards in Packs and Collections. Showdown, Diamond Quest, a mini seasons that requires All star cards to start earning the all star rewards. This is not the drop for me apparently.

No Kyle Tucker is a complete Joke. Don’t get me wrong I love Matt Boyd. In real life he has been a stud for the North Siders but historically in MLBTS games he is batting practice online. Maybe Tuck will do something in the ASG so we can get him for 500k as a rare round in a pack

Am I the only one who is letdown by the lack of content? What is the point of Team Affinity? It’s cool to get all 30 players unlocked but then what do I do with them to grind for rewards and stubs? The Team Affinity program paths historically were loaded with rewards, same with the conquest maps. Today there were none of either. That is a massive L

Just finished up the Showdown. Pretty quick and easy. One tip if you haven't played it yet, even though its Webb at the end there are a couple of lefty bosses at the beginning, so not a bad idea to grab a few righties or switch hitters. But then it becomes all righties for the last 4 or 5 (I forget exact numbers). The pitchers are decent but as with all showdowns you'll get plenty of fastballs down the middle and hanging breaking balls to hit. I think the Lindor ASG card was by far my best hitter in this run.

As I said above, I failed at it miserably several time. Maybe it was just an off day for me.

@Ericulous1_XBL Definitely not the only one. They usually add programs and moments and extra missions with Friday drops. So the fact that they only added showdown and DQ for the ASG content is probably a big reason why the content feels lacking. There is also not a lot of ways to earn ASG packs unless you use stubs

Today definitely seemed lackluster. A lot of cards but that was about it.
But we still have a Draft Program, HR Derby Program and All Star Game Program coming out between Sunday and Wednesday

@Dolenz_PSN If it makes you feel better…I am in the same boat as you with the TA. I have used my theme team for 99% of my games so I only have the 2 AS Vouchers. Cubs (I am a Cubs fan) and Pirates + the free voucher in the show shop so 3 total.

This was the same thing we have gotten many times this year. Pack + DQ + MS. Instead of a program we got the TA exchange

@Teak2112_MLBTS yeah this is so disappointing. Content. I just want playable content. Cards are great but why can’t they for once get it right? Do both. Here are the cards, and here are missions to use them on to get more cards???? It’s not rocket science SDS. If you want me to play the game, give me lots of game to play.

Acuna out of the Derby really sucks! I wonder what SDS will do now since Olson already got the ASG card. Please just give us a 99 Acuna anyway!

I hope they give cards like Acuna, Peterson, and Misiorowski in the all star program

Misiorowski is an exciting young pitcher. but he has only pitched in 5 games and and 25.2 innings. He does not belong in the All Star game.
Yeah, with Zach Wheeler deciding not to participate I am baffled how they did not add one of the other deserving Phillies pitchers
