I'm curious as to why SDS has chosen, in recent years, to put SO many losers into the game, as Legends. Palmeiro, McGwire, Sosa... what are you doing?

Bring back Will Clark, Dennis Martinez, and get some guys that played a hundred years ago. We're educating the players on Negro League players who played nearly 100 years ago, so let's do the same with MLB.

Clemens can go, too. Why waste the time and money on these guys? They don't have a place in a game that's supposed to be the pinnacle of baseball video games.

@Zachtronics_XBL I would add Eric Gagne to that list. Not mention never were Legends. Like Ubaldo Jimenez, Brian Dozier, Richie Sexson, Mike Napoli, etc.

Those should be replaced by players from 100 years ago. As you said. Add Shoeless Joe now that he's eligible. I would love to see Grover Cleveland Alexander, Tris Speaker, Hack Wilson, Ty Cobb, and Rube Waddell. And bring back Jimmie Foxx, Walter Johnson, and Christy Mathieson.

@SDS_JoeK_PSN thank you for your attention to this matter.

    1st off your a jackass
Without those “losers” you mention, the game of baseball would of died.
Those “losers” are what saved the game & made so many ppl fall in love with baseball all over again.
Just cause your little ego if offended, does not mean those “losers” doesnt deserve the recognition.
Ill see myself out, but was curious as to why you were crying so decided to check this out.
    Glad I did

@ralph13m_PSN They're not all necessarily true "legends". It seems to depend on whom they have conversations with, and I'm almost positive that they know that those guys would be great too. We could go on and on about guys from 100 years ago, but my post isn't about replacing Palmeiro, McGuire etc. It's simply a question as to why, because many of them sat before the Supreme Court and lied. That's a problem. I can forgive them, but I can't forget. I watched it play out, and I'm an Orioles fan. Oddly enough, I never liked Palmeiro; there was always something about him that I didn't like. Apparently, Baltimore wanted Fred McGriff, then later, Jim Thome. Those guys I respect, albeit I don't know them personally.

I can't remember how long you've said that you've played MLB The Show, but not all Legends will be Hall of Famers, not all will have phenomenal stats. I just don't think some of these guys should be glorified.

P.S. I called them losers as a jab, but also a joke. I'm not as serious as my words may come off at times! And the headline is a reference to that random Boog dialog that comes up at the weirdest times! I always scratch my head when he says that. Maybe it was put there on purpose, just to make sure we're paying attention!

@ralph13m_PSN it's tough to just "go get the guys" because it's ultimately up to the families to say yes/no. If they say no, they say no and there is nothing SDS can do. I'm sure it's infinitely easier to obtain the rights to recently played players rather than finding the families of guys who played 100+ years ago

"Legends" is just the moniker they use to differentiate between active MLBers and non-actives.

And if you're going to use righteous sanctimony in your argument, at least get it right. None of the players mentioned ever sat before the Supreme Court.

Why do you have a problem with this? If you want SDS to incorporate all of MLB history, then these guys have to be in the game. Plus, who WOULDN'T want Clemens, Ramirez, Sosa, McGwire, and Palmeiro in the game. These guys are so fun to use. I don't see an issue. We should 100% add more legends to the game, Idk about guys from 100 years ago, but guys from the 50s, 60s, 70s, but that doesn't mean replace these guys.

@TheBigPapa55_PSN Yes, cheaters and liars are really fun to use. They removed Alomar and Vizquel, for alleged behavior. I don't little to any respect for the juicers.

I think I made it very clear why I have a problem with this, already!

They've added a bevy of players that played nearly 100 years ago, over the past three years, to The Show. We don't know the character of those Groundbreaker players, necessarily, but we do know the character of idiots like Palmeiro, Ramirez, Clemens. Maybe you want them, but sorry dude, you don't get to speak for everyone.

@aerouprising_MLBTS It may not be that difficult. None of us actually know how it is that they go about getting their "Legends".

@Zachtronics_XBL it’s not a question of difficulty, it’s about profitability. If they cost too much or you need hours upon hours of lawyers billable hours involved, it’s probably not worth it to them.

Alomar is currently on the ineligible list. Ergo, SDS can't put him in the game even if they wanted to.

@aerouprising_MLBTS I get that. It's just a wish list. Besides, I'm having fun creating my own legends. The stats I put on them may not be perfect. But, I like doing it.

I want Rube Waddell, Spaceman Lee, and Mark "The Bird" Fidrych... Among others. Find a way to show their quirkiness in game. Have Fidrych talk to the ball on the mound, stuff like that.
Would be great to see some of the zany characters from baseball's past.

@Finn_Scotus_MLBTS I have Rube Waddell in the player vault. If you're interested. I'll be working on adding stats to him soon.

@Finn_Scotus_MLBTS The Bird also needs to have all of his idiosyncrasies included. Like talking to the ball and patting the mound. That would be awesome. Just like Legends Ozzie Smith will do a backflip as he's taking the field.

If SDS were to ever include Rube Waddell I want to see him run off the field to watch a fire truck go by. Lol
