They may have. I think player voting has been done a while, and they did say that Adell was almost the lightning
But its not like Alonso and Diaz making the team was remotely a surprise so they always had options for all star cards, even if they want to use Lindor as a pack or collection card (I will be stunned if this isnt the case)

That is the downside of teams like the Dodgers having 5 representatives and the Cubs 3. That is literally 25% of the NL roster.
