@Sarge1387_PSN Yeah, it's a bit strange with the pitching on these moments. I basically have to get lucky with a pitch middle-in in order to knock one out. Sammy is a hit machine but I'll be damned if that sweet spot window ain't as small a gnat with his swing (his vision doesn't help either).
Tell me about it. And when I do get a strike...it so high and so close to being a ball that my keen eye works against me and they get the call. When I do make good contact its just a p!ss missile liner

@Sarge1387_PSN yes...so annoying...it's like you're forced to swing at bad pitches just so you can hit something
Don't get me started on this lol, I try so hard to line up my PCI on the edges cause that's all I see
-
Yay....back to back 8 total bases on veteran difficulty.
With the bizarre CPU pitching you're guaranteed 1 walk in what will be mostly 4 ABs so now you've got 3 ABs..... but wait....
In your 3 ABs you'll get 1 maybe 2 good pitches per AB so you've got 6 pitches at best to get 8 total bases......but wait......
Out of those maybe 6 good pitches to hit you'll Perfect/Perfect right at someone at least once so now you've got 2 ABs and 4 pitches to get 8 total bases. ..... Yay.
I get it , I don't have to them but programs are completed in 2 hrs and conquest maps are few and far between. Fix the stupid pitching already.

@Ledfoot_19_PSN I miraculously got it on the second try. He threw two meatballs down the middle of the plate. It might not be bad for us this time. Plus they added summer packs. Very coool
-
I got the first 8 TB moment in 3 at bats. Today's took me longer, but I completed it in an unlikely way: HR, single, triple on a missed OF dive. I'll take it.
-
I tried it but it's not happening for me so either they add more missions or I'll never get the card, like I said before they did this last year people complained and they lowered it to 6 total bases
-
8 total base mission today for Sosa has a pitcher with no fastball lol

Yeah this one hurts.the one against Abel wasn't too bad,did it in 10-15ABs, but this one ...
Sinker and changeup that look exactly the same coming in,and he throws them toward the bottom so you'll think golf swing for launch angle but nope, under the zone often way under and you chop it foul or at an infielder, I don't fault SDS for this,he pitches this way in real life, I do fault them for not picking someone else to pitch this.
and it's actually a double fault, cause I also faced Alvarado in this moment, you know, the guy currently banned from MLB for ped use. -
I haven't attempted the 8 TB Moment yet, but when I do, it will be an automatic restart if I don't get a homerun in the first plate appearance.
-
It starts in the second inning and of course it’s walks galore again

Maybe the 2nd AB? on my 3rd attempt I had a poor 1st AB but proceeded to homer on both the 2nd and 3rd to finish it
-
I really hope they add a repeatable mission towards the end so we don't have to do moments over and over and over...
-
I don’t know, you would think that with having a program as unique as this one, that they would have it so that it was “easy”. Have the pitchers throw meatballs down the middle so we could hit homers (or 8 total bases) and experience “success without stress”. But no…..
They may give alternate ways to satisfy the program, but I’d bet a bunch of stubs that at least one of these 8 TB moments are required to satisfy the program.
-
It took me 10 minutes to do both 8 total base moments & I’m mid af…Anyone can do it, Just stop crying & go get it done.

Exactly. People just complain about everything. I think it took me like 5 tries, hardly any time at all.
The program is clearly meant to recreate what Sosa actually did in the month. They try to make it a little easier and on days he hit 2 homeruns they let you just get 8 TB instead and people still complain.
-
@dap1234567890_PSN dont do that, thats wayyyyyy too many single plate appearance home run moments. I dont have a problem completing them but could you imagine just slogging through all of these at once? That's a small sample of Hell.

Word of advice for those on the 8tb vs Sanchez.
If you are using directional, do not press any direction until he starts his delivery, I was pressing up and everything was in at me or dirt [censored], went up and pull and I got everything off the plate away, I started not holding up until after he started and my 2nd attempt of that on 2nd and 3rd ab I homered to complete it.
It still sucks but I got more pitches that were better and in good spots than I did when it knew what I was trying to do. -
It’s also versus pretty much all lefties including one with outlier who shouldn’t be there because of a suspension for PED use. Finally got it done after like 12 tries on regular swing.
Also when I say ‘tries’ it’s I mean of tries where I would at least get a double in the first AB

@Pergo_MLBTS agreed that this program is meant to recreate his month of June. And give us moments that reflect the days he hit a homer (or two or three).
All of this is in the past. He DID it. So, give us a Sammy Sosa batter with numbers that can get the “job done” 125 contact. 125 power. 125 vision. 125 clutch. Also, have the pitchers throw strikes.
Again, he accomplished this feat. It’s not a “what-if”. Specifically, with Sosa, the 60 vision is a BIG issue that causes unnecessary failures with his moments.
-
he only hit .298 that month, and had 27Ks. I dont know his r/l splits, but Im assuming SDS did their homework and that this was only the second moment with a lefty isnt a coincidence. Card seems pretty fair if thats the case
Regardless of his power vs left not being 125, the ball still flies off his bat. If you get a hittable pitch.
-
@capardo_XBL The Sosa card is plenty good enough to get it done, and the pitchers do throw strikes. You don't even have to hit home runs to get it done. They've already made it easier on you.
