How close (far away) are you from Ted Williams?
-
Just curious to see where you guys stand. I thought I was OK coming in to this collection, but when I add up who I need to buy, it's nearly 1M stubs. Some of that will go down as the WS and BR rewards become available to us plebes. I do have the LS and Rolen collections done, but this one will take a while.
Where are you at?
-
Just finished this morning. I got very lucky finishing the colour storm 150k xp in the TA pathway for all of the teams. Pulled an ohtani and then from the chase pack at the end of the multiplayer pathway I pulled vlad jr. Was able to buy everything I needed for the spotlight and pipeline past

Ted Williams is somewhere far beyond -
@MarioMendoza935_XBL 6 Topps now, 2 spotlight, 3 standout, 6 all-star, breakout 1, awards 1, pipeline past 1, Summer 14.
Schwarber is the most expensive. I'll probably skip All-Star. Summer program costs just as much.
-
Will Need Seager, at least 3 All-Stars after the Last Boss pack and purchasing the remaining 2. I sold Jeter from my first pack cause he was still around 30K. 1 more Awards, 1 more Rookie...either buy Devin Williams or Pray to complete the Dodgers for Fernando. Will have Summer done when I complete the Mini Season. Need a couple more 2nd Half too, but I should be able to afford them. Seager is probably gonna be the toughest since I don't wanna shell out 200k + for either Vlad or Schwarber. All-star as well since the cheapest ones of those are the older chase cards and still sitting around 70-80k.
-
Still need alot to get Ted, meanwhile I'm fine rocking the free one. Definitely will be playing alot of DQ because I need schwarber who is over 200k, plus either Bo or Jeimer to get Buxton
-
I have like 11 collections
Just got Beltran, seager and vlad tho. Could get rolen now but waiting for prices to drop.
-
What @dolenz said…..
-
I actually had more than enough to get him at drop…Ended up selling the expensive pieces I didn’t need for the collection and picked up another 500k in stubs.
-
I almost have Adley, after that I need to spend 120k on 1 awards card and 1 standout card. But I'm willing to wait for the prices to come down or they add a card for those categories. I have plenty of stubs but I'm willing to wait for good prices so I'm not burning stubs.
-
I'm 50k stubs away from Beltran but probably 1 year away from getting Rolen or Williams
-
Sorry make that 75k stubs away from Beltran, Ohtani just went up in price as I was typing
-
5 all-star! lol, maybe i'll skip Schwarber, idk. lol.
SO after doing the math, i'm 340k away from williams if i go the non schwarber route.....550k if i go the schwarber route lol. Crazy.
-
@El-Henney_XBL So i've played the game 160 hours. My buddy has played 360+ hours. He has everyone (almost ted) me being 200 hours behind, without the pack luck, i dont have anyone. So i'm 200 hours away, aka, let's try again in MLB The show 26.
-
@ANF_GOLD99_PSN I made the mistake of not going for the live series collection from the beginning so I was collecting many cards that I could've sold. I managed to pull Soto and Trout that was my two best pulls. My buddy who did not focus on collections at all pulled Ohtani and Acuna when he was 300k+. It's a cruel world lol
-
I’m not that close. A little more than halfway. It will probably take me a while to get it done. If they drop some new content and flash sales that will help most of us. Actually flash sales help everyone essentially
-
Nowhere remotely close and I’m cool with it. I have no strong feelings IRL for Rolen or Williams so I’m fine not getting them.
-
I lack Judge and Ohtani for Beltran. I’ll likely never get Beltran, Ted, Rolen, Santana or Harper. Which sucks cuz I like the potm/awards/lightning cards but they’re just too expensive this year.
-
I play about the same amount that as I always have… I usually have no issues completing these collections a month or so after they drop.
I’m nowhere close to Rolen at the moment. Live series? Still about 1.5m stubs away.
They’ve done everything they could to hurt the market and limit stubs this year and they’ve succeeded. Fortunately, there are plenty of cheaper, more obtainable cards that play very well.
