SDS Using Bots To Stop Flipping?
-
I usually drive their price up when I see this, then cancel all but one order. It’s usually a low card. Feels good to [censored] the machine.
-
Yeah, 100% its a bot of some sort. Seems like if you quickly way undercut the bot then remove your bid, once it purchases one at the huge undercut price it stops for a bit.
I dont flip at all, but this is super annoying for sure. Such is life in the day and age we live.
-
@LHUBison58_XBL So you manipulate the market prices basically?
-
If it’s a newly released card or a gate keeper then that seems totally normal. Remember, There are tens of thousands of people on at any given time trying to do the same thing you are.
-
There's definitely people that can run scripts for flipping on the website...and it's long been suspected SDS has used script/bots to at the bare minimum shrink margins.
@ebbets1957_XBL I've tried that...it's actually hilarious because it follows you bid for bid, and if you suddenly remove the bids...lo and behold the bot bid disappears instantaneously
All of this just makes flipping harder, not impossible though.
-
@Rubbaneck34_XBL I make the scripted bot pay a lot more.
-
I steal cards from the Bots. Just lower your sale price to slightly above buy now price and immediatley delete you buy now and it will follow you down then buy in and sell both of the cards for a profit. You do risk the loss of the card you are selling though.

I would like to see what SDS devs say about these so called bot allegations.

Should they be required to answer to every single conspiracy theory this community seems to come up with? If they came on and said unequivocally that it was not them, there would still be a contingent of players here who would just say that they are lying.
Why automatically assume it is SDS and not some stub farmer for those 3rd Party sites that sell stubs? Seems like everyone sees conspiracies everywhere these days.

I think it is MUCH more likely that there are consumers running bots than SDS doing it.
