What's the process when adding Legends to The Show?

It was Reggie Stocker for a long time instead of Bonds since he was too much of a diva to be in the game.

@GoozeFn_PSN It depends on the base kernel for the game. I've already made this year's version crash after moving around so many players across various rosters, in one session. It's not that hard!
If you've played this game for years, you'll notice how the game drags heavily when tabbing between teams, how the Vault is an absolute mess for rating, uploading, etc. The game now performs worse than it did before it went multi-platform. The PS4 version ran the best, all the way through 2024.
Thanks to bringing the game to XBOX and Switch, Sounds of the Show is gone, too, so we're stuck listening to 90% vulgar rap, unless you turn off those tracks, like I'm guessing many of us do.
It's funny how the game is rated E for everyone, yet there's explicit lyrics in many of the tracks (bleeped out but still totally obvious) and the Vaults are filled with all kinds of horrible [censored].

@Zachtronics_XBL Amen. I have made the point to them that they are asking for a lawsuit based on the rating when I can go into the logo vault and see all kinds of pornographic images.
@SDS_JoeK_PSN have you brought that to the attention of the team?

@Zachtronics_XBL The soundtrack is awful. The first thing I did was turn off all music and the announcers. I just run Apple Music in the background.

@GoozeFn_PSN I think there's a budget and software to hardware restraints. I new some of the guys at RBI Baseball, and they had tons of legends in their game, for several years, and the process didn't sound complex, at all.
RBI baseball was before NIL licensing rights.

Sounds of the show is gone because of the PS5, it's a hardware thing and Sony designed it that way for some reason.

@PAinPA_PSN 2014-2021 was before those rights were in place?
In what was is Sounds of the Show a hardware thing? You pop in a flash drive, download your tunes, and MLB The Show picks them up.
If it was a PS5 thing, then why am I able to play MLB The Show 24's PS4 version, which I bought on my PS5, and it's there 100% complete?!

@Zachtronics_XBL it would sure be helpful for SDS to issue an explanation as to why these things were changed. Instead of being told, "I'll pass that along to the team."

It also just occurred to me, and SDS I want credit if you do it, make legends downloadable content. Say, if you want the 1927 New York Yankees, you can buy them for $30. Or, say, $5 for individual players.
SDS can't sell rights they don't own.

@GoozeFn_PSN A little more variety is all that's really needed, right? There's some great tracks that we only here during a game, which wouldn't be bad, either.

@ralph13m_PSN Wow, the restrictions on this forums are harsh! "You can only upvote a user 6 times a day." What the Hell!? lol... this is one of the reasons why I avoid forums and have for the past three decades.
However, if you wanna get someone's attention, do it wherever you can and as much as you need to, until someone listens. When someone says, "I'll pass that along to the team", it's a start. They obviously can't promise us anything, but your requests are out there. Just be insistent. I've been on the other side, and had I not listened, we wouldn't have fixed the game engine's rendering process.
