EXIT VELOCITIES AND PERFECT PERFECTS RIGHT AT GLOVES
-
Here is the reality. Hittimg in this game has always been a disaster. Patience and good timing has never been rewarded. It's incredibly random. I get a ton of homeruns and XBH on pitches out of the zone and far too many outs on fat pitches well timed. This year with the very odd CPU pitching makes it really stand out. Conquest games, Showdowns, and online play can be really frustrating as a result. That said you can still go in and rake the CPU in a regular 9 inning vs CPU game. You won't put up 40 runs like years past but you'll easily put up 9 to 20. Unfortunately that mode is only good for Stat grinding and most of us like to Stat grind while accomplishing a map or mini season. The game lacks balance and relies more on randomness rather than skill so people naturally going to complain and possibly exaggerate when frustrated.

No.
The game plays a bit differently this year, mainly because there aren’t quite as many home runs (yet). Some people like that. Some people don’t.
Some of the people who don’t are liars, and because lying has become commonplace and normalized, those that may not lie themselves grant the liars a pass and make excuses for them because they’re “on the same side.”
Stop defending liars.

You're taking this way to serious. Liars and exaggerators aside hitting has always been random garbage that often times defies physics and seldom rewards patience and good timing. The newly idiotic CPU pitching only exasperated it. Researching people's game history is bizarre and unhealthy as is getting really upset at liars. Set it down....have a beer...

Then they should just say hitting sucks and leave it at that. Stop making up ridiculous claims that are so easy to refute and then get mad at the people that refute them.
I have said any number of times that I feel my issue this year has more to do with CPU pitching than my hitting but I have never tried to quantify it beyond statements along the lines of "It seems like CPU pitchers dot more often and make fewer mistakes in the middle."

Liars and exaggerators aside…
Wondering why it’s so hard for you to just say people shouldn’t lie about [censored]…

… but there’s my answer. You seem to dabble in both.

@EPaytonTX_PSN You woke up today and decided to post about something that happened a month ago? No one is buying that.

You make no sense. I'm stating my opinion so that's not dabbling in exaggeration or lies. Unless you're one of those people who believes your opinion is fact and anyone who doesn't view things like you is wrong.
Of course people shouldn't lie about it but why do you care. Simply don't read the thread or post. I don't understand people who have to get involved and police every thread and post and go so far as to look up peoples game history. It's like some insecure need for self validation. Let it go. -
@Ledfoot_19_PSN, maybe you're just not very good at making sense of things.
... often times defies physics
... seldom rewards patience and good timingExaggerations at best. The second is really a lie... unless you're understanding of the word "seldom" is on par with your understanding of the word "exasperated," in which case I would refer you back to my first sentence.
I find it quite telling that you think it unhealthy to be bothered by liars, and seem to prefer that they just be left to lie without being called out. And you're actually only bothered by people who call out liars, because, somehow, they have the "insecure need for self validation."
That seems really healthy.

Yep, and I had enough, so welcome on my block list @EPaytonTX_PSN , well deserved treatment for just another bs post

So I was right....you're one of those people who believe your opinion is fact and anyone else's is just wrong or in this case exaggerating or lying. I have way better things to do than debate an obvious keyboard warrior. Good luck with your head issues and good day...

@Ledfoot_19_PSN, you'd be perfect in a White House communications role.

I’ve been paying more attention to my results on hits it says I had “good” timing on. I’m fairly confident my average is like sub .100. It’s obviously the same or worse on hits marked as “just late” or “early”.
Even though it’s frustrating to see perfect/perfect hits result in outs, I think overall my average on these is good (likely in the .400 range or higher).
With the power creep, we’ve been sort of pigeon holed into high power attribute lineups. It’s really our only chance to get enough exit velocity so when we do get that perfect/perfect, we can hit those home runs we wall want.
Because our hitters are power oriented all these “good” swings are easy lineouts or fly outs at the track (at least that’s what happens to me).
Some of my highest batting average results have come with high contact low power players like Chandler Simpson/Rod Carew because the lack of power actually lets these lineouts drop infront of the outfielders. I’ve had a lot of success lately in my Color Storm grind with guys like Xavier Edwards, Horner, Scott, etc
-
@DodgerMatt93_NSW Timing isn’t everything. Good timing and bad pci placement won’t and shouldn’t get good results. I’d be shocked if you were only hitting .400 on perfect perfects.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN yeah I expect bad results if my pci is way off. I’ve been paying more attention to the ones where I get “good” timing and my pci is pretty close (not directly on, but close)… and it’s crazy how low the success rate is.
