You can make World Series with free cards, I made World Series with a NMS squad and average players on my team, also not defending them in any way but SDS runs a buisness and they still have to make profits to pay for player rights and employee wages as well as other expenditures, good luck to all of you on your World Series grinds

I rock a NMS squad almost every year, but again there needs to be a balance. We all know they're running a business and have to put food on the table, but they also have to create a game that's enjoyable, especially for the mode that makes them 90% of their profits.

The players are to blame as much as SDS. If nobody purchased stubs so that they can then buy every pack or player available then there would be a whole lot less incentive for SDS to do it.

True, but most players are NMS, and the game literally has to offer it or else they'd still be getting backlash.
"Man, what? No stubs available for me to buy so I can just buy the card easily instead of grinding for the stubs? What's up with these bozos? Man, they stupid. I hate this game. As a matter of fact, Imma boycott it." Basically what everybody would say.

The best catcher in the game is locked behind a 500k collection and that's Carlos Santana. The second best is Chase Pack card and that's Jorge Posada, I'm not sure his price rn but I assume it's still high. The third best is loced behind completing the NL Central collections for Live Series. It's not that bad, but again, it's an expensive collection worth over 100k. And that's just the catcher position.

How is Santana the best catcher in the game?

Yes. But Why do you think it's the best catcher? Hitting attributes? Defensive attributes?

Wouldn't the best catcher, in the game, have both the best Defensive AND Offensive attributes?

Catcher … if you really think that Santana alone nets you way more wins than Yasmani, then you do not understand that the only thing that matters are your thumbs. Yasmani is eaisily available and so is Simmons.
Want it easier: go get JT

Hitting attributes are what makes Santana great and his swing, basically for any catcher hitting has to be dominant. His defense isn't bad. As long as he's okay behind the dish it's no big deal. Oh right, I forgot about Yasmani.

Maybe next time not wait until they are super inflated for the collection, I got a few for under 20, most for 20-25,only 2 that were more, Santana wasn't 500 for me not even 300 but closer to 200,

For me it’s just the hitting plain & simple. Same now as it was day one - It’s like the baseball has lead in it and once it gets to the warning track it just dies. I compared my online homer totals from 24 & 25. I am on pace for 60% fewer homeruns this year than last. You should all do the same, See for yourself.

I have more than 100 times more homers this year then 24 when comparing the same overalls( of course I also have more than 100 times the plate appearances this year too with these overalls) most of the cards used last year were 95+ and had attributes over 100, not an equal comparison.

I think one reason Live Series prices are so high is because players are earning a ton of stubs through Diamond Quest, flipping, and smart investments. Packs aren’t worth ripping right now because Chase and Headliner cards just aren’t tempting enough.

So instead of opening packs and selling extras, people are sitting on stubs or buying and holding Live Series cards. That kills supply and drives prices up.

The problem is MLB The Show overreacted to all the pay-to-win complaints. Packs got nerfed, and now the market’s out of balance. Chase and Headliner cards need to be juiced again or the whole system stalls.

Enough with releasing all of the best cards through Chase Packs and 250k stub collections at the bare minimum. It's annoying and there only doing it to get you to buy stubs. The live series collection is expensive as it is since you raised the max price from 500k to 750k just to make profit from you buying stubs if you have a life and don't want to grind. We literally got a promise that the best cards in the game would be scattered throughout DD, but that's been a lie. It's either packs or collections just like last year and the year before (correction, not just like last year but quite similar).

The community will dictate what SDS does next. NBA 2K is the most aggressively money-driven, microtransaction-filled game and gets worse every year, receiving widespread negative feedback; yet, they continue to generate record profits every year.

If people are throwing money at virtual cards, there is nothing we can do about it, so everyone is better off enjoying the game for what it is.

The amount of players farming DQ for stubs is probably less than 1% of the population. Come on now.

Packs didnt get nerfed, instead they have made chase cards a weekly thing, added collections requiring rare cards of limited supply packs. Now theyve started added ultra rare cards into the packs when the top cards used to be at worst 1:20. And the latest collection needs one of those cards to complete it.

Given that skill is the defining factor the game is not pay to win, but the gap between the average NMS player (doesnt treat flipping or DQ as a second job) and whales in card quality is substantially bigger than it was two years ago, when there were less chase cards the enitre season than we have less than 1/4 of the way through the year now.

The best part about this game is that it is still incredibly easy to field a great team while being NMS. Sure there might be some cards that are harder to obtain, but you can just as easily win with free cards as someone who chooses to spend money. And stubs are so easy to come by that you can buy almost any card you really want anyway if you put in the smallest amount of effort.

Then I watch these content creators who … get the insane pulls almost naturally.

You realize they ripping about 500 packs a day and only showing you 30 of them, right?
