Enough is Enough

Enough with releasing all of the best cards through Chase Packs and 250k stub collections at the bare minimum. It's annoying and there only doing it to get you to buy stubs. The live series collection is expensive as it is since you raised the max price from 500k to 750k just to make profit from you buying stubs if you have a life and don't want to grind. We literally got a promise that the best cards in the game would be scattered throughout DD, but that's been a lie. It's either packs or collections just like last year and the year before (correction, not just like last year but quite similar).

I totally agree this game used to be about the grind to get the best cards now it’s like SDS is following the 2k and EA sports model of forcing you to spend money to stay competitive last year I finished the live series this year I won’t I have four teams to go and they contain the most expensive players in the game so I’ll only be able to play with the gold Carlos Beltran
-
The best catcher in the game is locked behind a 500k collection and that's Carlos Santana. The second best is Chase Pack card and that's Jorge Posada, I'm not sure his price rn but I assume it's still high. The third best is loced behind completing the NL Central collections for Live Series. It's not that bad, but again, it's an expensive collection worth over 100k. And that's just the catcher position.

They should make every card available to every person who buys the base game. Get rid of the market and rewards and collections. Whenever there is an update I want every card added to be in my inventory. Then I will start winning because the playing field will be levelled. Get on it SDS or I will be back here next year to complain about your performance.

People also complain loudly about grinds, so if you were in SDS's shoes which would you pick?
-
Team Affinity was amazing last year, this year it sucks. Only the pitchers are good. Name one really good card from a program that we got so far. Maybe Dustin May or Elly or Big Papi but that's it. Aside from that we got Brian Roberts in a freaking moonshot program, Adolis Garcia, Stan Musial who can't hit lefties in a game that has so many good lefty pitchers, Johnny Cueto? Nothing good. We get a New Threads program, it's okay, Max Scherzer isn't terrible, but the collection and pack is too op. Cody Bellinger, Corbin Burnes, same with Moonshot.
-
That's because I don't think SDS understand the term "balance." They make the grinds too hard, long, and painstaking a lot of the time and people just don't have the time to do it. But they release cards in packs and stuff but not only is that a grind to get the STUBS to buy the players (or just buy the stubs and burn your cash), but it's not like they're reasonably priced, they're expensive as hell. (Personally, I have no problem with a decent grind as long as it's rewarding and not terribly long or difficult).

J.T. Realmuto is a great catcher card. Great swing that can hit bombs and steal

@cjhanz84_PSN
That's not the point, and a lot of people don't even like him, but hey, if you like 'em, good 4u -
I think it’s tempting to pay for stubs. But it is possible to grind for good cards too. Except for the chase packs. I’m ohtani away from LS, 3 cards from Santana and egg hunt away from Rolen. I spent $0. Some grinding and roster update investments. I think EA & 2K are next level abusers.
-
I have the Carlos Santana and the new Realmuto. Are they both better than Posada? I was thinking of buying Jorge.
-
Oh, and did I forget Standard pack odds?

Wait, so you’re saying the best cards in the game are more difficult to acquire?
WHAT?!?
Next, you’ll tell me that real estate in Manhattan, NY is more expensive than real estate in Manhattan, Kansas.
-
@ELDON179X_PSN
Yes it's possible, I'm not saying there aren't any good cards to grind for, but I'm talking about the really good cards that are not or either require way too much Diamond Quest. -
@SaveFarris_PSN
That's close to 1 million stubs combined to acquire all 3 of them. Unless you think that's easy to get... -
@TheBigPapa55_PSN I agree but they will never be able to satisfy everyone.
-
@SaveFarris_PSN
Maybe you don't understand the point. OBVIOUSLY THE BETTER CARDS ARE GOING TO BE HARDER TO GET! I think we all have half a brain here, some of us with full ones, but then again, the greater cards are tiers above the cards that are how do I put this "decently" accessible to most of the community. -
Then I watch these content creators who already have 250 hours on the game and have every single good card in the game and get the insane pulls almost naturally.
-
The game has been out for two months, the best cards won’t be released for months.
-
The best cards rn, currently, the ones that have already been released.
