I don't think they will remove the Moonshit card. I'm pretty sure the New Threads Profar wasn't removed

Profar was a pack card and he was removed from the New Threads packs.
Last year, Orelvis Martinez was a Team Affinity program reward for the Toronto Blue Jays. When he got suspended for PED, his card was removed from that program and they replaced it with a different Blue Jays prospect. In that case, they added an extra reward pack at the end of the path so that people could get the new card too.
Typically, suspended players (regardless of why they’re suspended) no longer have new cards added to people’s inventory. They stop being in packs or programs. It’s just really awkward because of the collection integration and that removing him would take away a free card towards the collection for people that haven’t played this weekend.

They didn't replace Profar because you didn't need to acquire every card in order to earn the final Collect card.

I don't think these are getting buffed since Moonshot Events are regular things. These will still be useful, unlike the April Fools ones that are useless in all modes.

If memory serves…Like 5 years ago Alomar jr did something similar & they just swapped him with another player. It didn’t affect anything.

A. It was 4 years ago (MLB The Show 21), not 5.
B. Roberto is the son of Sandy Alomar Sr. Sandy Alomar Jr., Roberto's brother, was a catcher. Roberto is not a Jr.
C. Alomar didn't do something similar. He was put on the permanently banned list (like Rose, Shoeless Joe, Chris Correa, etc.) Alvarado is merely suspended.
D. Alomar wasn't swapped out. He was removed from the Daily Program Rewind pack. There was no replacement.
E. It affected people trying to collect Postseason cards in order to get vouchers for that year's Mega Collections.

@SaveFarris_PSN When someone prefaces a statement with “if memory serves” that means they are not sure, Which I was not. I was merely using it as a previously similar issue for example.
