    @ref479ode_PSN

Last year, overalls and card attributes on live series made a distinction between 90+ and 85 to 89. This year, the packs (such as in Weekend Classic) has made a distinction between 88+ and 85 to 87. That’s a difference. They wouldn’t do 90+, there’s too few because they’ve changed the way the attributes and overall are calculated and made the rare cards 88+.

As for when they’ll do 88+, they previously did flash sales of 90+ on the same day of a roster update that made the majority of 90+ cards relatively new 90+ (meaning they were cheap because they were below 90 before that roster update).

We’ll likely see the same thing, once there’s a roster update that knocks down a bunch of 88+ and makes the majority of 88+ cards cheap, they’ll do a 88+ pack.

I think we need a 90+ guarantee flash sale... Even if the pack was like 50k with a 2 pack limit because people will buy it

I've been saving for shohei and I'm at 511k and he just keeps going up. I feel like I can't even try many other cards since I'm trying to get live series done.

I assume the vast majority of pulls from 85+ pack were Gilbert, snells, etc. Quick sell diamonds we already have that prob aren't affecting the market much

It doesent make sense - it means that for 50k you can get at least card which is worth >100k stubs. Everyone we will have collections done immediately

As much as I would love a 90+ flash sale, it’ll never happen

I could see it happening at World Series time. But in May? You're right: never.

It slightly makes sense when you see the whole point of a flash sale is to balance the market. No body is pulling ohtani or judge it seems right now. (Not trying to say sds adjusted the pull rate on over 85 diamonds) However I have noticed in the last 250 standards I've opened while I am still getting plenty of diamonds (7) players (5) items which is well above the pull rate. Not a single 1 was higher than 85 and in my opinion items should have been moved to thier own packs years ago. Even with all the guaranteed 85+ pack opened during the WC and flash sale the prices on 88+ have gone up. So yes a 90+ seems like it wouldn't happen, it would cuase the prices on the 3 gate keeper live series (which have never cost more than 1 million stubs to complete the collection before) to drop to a more market friendly place. However I do agree that SDS won't let that happen. Why, because they have found a way to cater to the top 1% inside BR rewards. All those guys who go 10-0 multiple times are getting those guys and selling for an obviously and objectively inflated amount. Even before 23-24 (which obviously hurt the live series market) the highest priced live series were never more then 190k even when Trout was a 92 to start the year in 21 and then held a 90 rating the rest of the year after being on IR the rest of the season. SDS knows what's happening and proved they not only dont care, but are helping the manipulation of the market by taking the previously ceiling cap on 95 from 500k to 750k.

That's what people are missing. They did a flash sale and it did not correct the market. But people can't simply talk on the internet without arguing. If the intent was not to balance the market then why even have a flash sale?

They shouldn’t have had a stub sale. That made the flash sale irrelevant. Wasn’t the time to do a stub sale. Just do the flash sale or juice packs if you want the market to come down. That wasn’t the intent. The intent is to make $$$. SDS/Sony isn’t hiding that.

Stub sales are bad for prices. When stubs are cheaper, it devalues the stub and prices go up. That’s probably why they also did all those flash sales. The flash sales temporarily lower prices, but they usually bounce back pretty quickly. They need to make the diamond pull odds better to bring down prices.

Supply isn't the reason judge and Ohtani are so expensive, neither is them raising the cap from 500-750. Demand is. That and the collection being so desired.
The only fix for this is when we get towards the all star break and cards start to be able to compete with the collections.
They could randomly give out a thousand of both Ohtani and judge and the price won't crash,it would drop maybe 10-20% for the impatient ones but in a day or two when it all cycles through the prices would return.

If you had told me on release night that in mid-May I'd have 1.6m stubs and that wouldn't be enough to buy the remaining 8 cards I need, I would have said you're nuts.

The prices on Ohtani and Judge are insane and keep going up. They never should have raised the limit. It's insulting to all of us.

@NWOStunna_PSN this is right on. Flash sale should have made those cards dip significantly but then they drop a stub sale which inflates prices. SDS knows what they are doing with the market manipulation. Hey if people are willing to drop 75k on a bundle that returns 15k in value, I would keep doing it too. If their analytics start to show less spending on pack and less players logged in, it is a certain they will intervene.

I keep hearing that SDS raised the limit on Live Series? What did they do exactly? I don’t seem to remember there being an upper stub limit cap on Live Series in the past, but I can’t recall exactly as it always takes me until at least July to finish the Live Series so don’t follow the gate keeper prices all that closely.
