Why forced to play

Very curious. Why are we forced to play the weekend classic? It should be optional for players. What if our team is in rebuild mode or just we don't want to play the weekend classic this weekend or next weekend or in general it should be optional to play until the mode gets better and overhauled, especially with the fact that you cannot use created stadiums this week in the mode

@jake93436_PSN No one is forcing you to play it. It also doesn’t count against your record. Play something else.

I haven't played 25 very much (in fact, I've played very little), so I'm curious how they force players to participate in an online competition mode. This sounds like another reason I will stay away from 25 until after the season ends.

stop guessing, we had dozens of threads on this here … in short: Every 4 weeks there is a weekend-league that substitues „ranked season for solo players“. That means you play ranked season … as usual … 9 innings … against people in your „skill range“ (simpler explanation) … for every win out of your first 6, you get rewards. Lose, no rewards … I do not get why it should be „forced“.
Ranked is a competitive mode as it us … with or without weekend-league. They just added rewards … You can take em and sell everything and have stubs (if you get them :)).

MLB 25 is the worst show yet!! Take me back to 23. It was 100x better this game is trash and so are the players! Why no HOF players ? How about adding Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe?
