where do taxed stubs go/why are stubs taxed?

I've been mindlessly opening packs, enjoying my ever-growing collection of quicksell value bronzes and
Yoshinobu Yamamoto pity drops I came to the realization that there really isn't any good reason for the community market to be taxed 10% on every sale. I don't think the tax stubs go to anything, even if it's purely thematic in nature, which means that taxing it is only there to serve the purpose of harming the player base, and attempting to make them spend more money on the game in the form of stub-related micro transactions. Who knows though, maybe a person with a doctorate on Austrian economics will stroll into the thread to tell me exactly why the games economy will devolve into complete and utter chaos if the 10% tax didn't exist... -
They go to me and you are taxed because I say so. Be glad I only charge 10%. Some dictators take 25%-145%!

It keeps the economy in check, otherwise there would be continuous inflation of card prices as no currency leaves the game. It's actually beneficial to the players.
Oh, and a good portion of that inflation would be flippers further moving the market up which is much easier with no tax. Buy up all the cards, sell them for 3-5% more, repeat, and the market moves up bit by bit. Right now the buyers need to be able to sell for much more than they buy for to get the market to move (technically more than +11.111111111...% at a minimum).

If there weren’t the 10% tax, Ohtani would be approaching a million right now.

@aaronjw76_PSN taxation isn’t a communist invention. Your parents should get their school taxes back however, since the school district let you down in terms of education.

Ummm have you seen the market this year? With the amount of packs in the game due to WC now people are pulling diamonds all the time. I just pulled Kyle Tucker and put him up for sale at 38595 (5 stubs below last highest sale order). Literally within 1 minute 7 more went up sale and drove his price down to 33k. But look at the big 3 that have stayed at 220k 350k and 550k for over a month now. The market is completely inflated other wise those prices would have gone down 1 month into the game like they use to.

@Busta-21_XBL take it easy guy, the man was joking. This isn't reddit.

Since we're taking obvious jokes seriously, you should be required to wear a helmet for failing to understand you can't use communist and socialist (as I did in my sarcastic joke) interchangeably as they are vastly different political and economic theories.

@Rhyno1986_XBL And it would be worse without the 10%.
