How's your XP progress in Inning 2?
-
With 5 days left, I still haven't finished. I'm at 480k. At this point in Inning 1, I already had multiple wheel spins. I play a lot - I'm guessing more than the average player. I finished the multiplayer program, but there was a fraction of the XPs compared to last time. I have a lot of XPs remaining in the Bryant mini season, so I'll get there. It's just disheartening.
I'm usually one of the biggest cheerleaders out here for MLBTS. But this just doesn't feel right. Maybe I missed something this cycle and I should have been focusing on a different strategy. Anyway... Curious to see where you're at.

Around 400. The main problem was that for most of this inning there just wasn't anything worthwhile to do. I had just shy of a million xp in inning 1. I'm going to have to struggle to get to 500k in this one, if I even bother. The sheen has worn off and it's getting worse.

I just got the first boss in the 2nd inning. Didn’t get far enough to get any bosses in the first one.
Definitely not rewarding. Nerfing XP in “play vs CPU” games on Rookie has been a killer for me this year.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL I have spun the wheel twice and I have 1/3 of the Elly-Program … But you‘re right … the second inning has way less xp to offer … that is why Griffey etc. are still that high in the market

Thought it was just me but xp is def nerfed

I'm not even close to the first boss yet.
Hoping I get at least one before it is over

I think people got a ton of XP in the last inning from advancing 30 TA programs, in addition to the regular stuff and this time there's nothing to really to replace those gains.
I'm a fair bit along, from doing the Programs and new Mini Season, but they would've had to dump a bunch more XP into stuff to get to the end, and the preference for for double PXP over XP doesn't help. -
I'm only at 142K.
All the XP seems to be in the programs. Completing some of them is the only way I even get to Ozzie Smith this inning. Because even with a double XP week I don't think I would be able to play enough to get there otherwise.
So this week I am back to doing what I said I did not want to do. Playing games with a bunch of players I don't care about to earn rewards to get me to an Ozzie Smith card with nerfed fielding.
I just looked and there are 15 SS cards with better fielding than an Ozzie card for a year he won his 4th of 13 consecutive Gold Gloves. That includes 10 live series cards.

Just hit the deluxe pack at the end of the path.it is pretty disappointing considering I had over 900k in inning 1.
-
I've done a few wheel spins but I also had a lot of xp sitting behind programs and mini seasons that I didn't start until after the the 2nd inning because I was focused on farming DQ for stubs.
-
I'm around 350K. Got sidetracked with other games but I still have about 20K to get in the mini season plus whatever in the Ely program, the last 2 conquests and whatever we get Tuesday. With double xp this week I should just finish.
-
Getting the 2nd boss pack today
-
I was almost at the 1st boss pk early last week, then I left for Vacation
. won't be home til Friday when the program ends.
I've been playing since the Show 16 & I don't ever remember not earning the bosses or completing an innings program. I feel like its gonna be harder to get bk in the swing of things this year when I get home.

Sitting at 480K for inning 2 so 20K short of 2nd boss. I’ve finished all offline programs, conquests, mini seasons and had the 30K head start for collecting all 1st inning bosses.
The past couple weeks of this game have really soured me. I’ve tried to be patient but everything about it feels off and geared towards monetization and engagement time for minimal rewards. That doesn’t even include the worst pack odds and flipping potential since I started playing DD.

3 hours later I am now at 175K and inching my way to Ozzie.
I think 25K of that 33K were program rewards in the Jackie Robinson program path. Which means the other 8K was from the Jackie Robinson Showdown itself and a 9 inning CPU game.

537k, I have all offline programs completed. Haven’t touched multiplayer, I just don’t have the energy for it anymore

About to get Griffey jr and okay with only getting one boss each time this year. I’m having more fun and hitting better with Yankees theme team and Lindor at 2B, hitting 350,Ted Williams DH, Varitek C, both at 400. Last year thought had to get every card and complete everything and wasn’t as fun. Almost broke me going for Yordan and extreme moments. Then got the card and barely used him. This team hitting more HRs and better avg than 99 teams had at end of last season with all the captain boosts. Maybe cause I’m just having fun and relaxed. Usually a first pitch swinger and this year more patient
-
@MrNintendo_MLBTS something else really cool is got 250 hits awhile back around 600 at bats with Jeter. Comparable to a full season and the announcer made a comment about how rare that is. He’s been steady at 390 batting second behind Lindor. Lower HR total than 99 Jeter from last year Yankees theme team. But I know didn’t stay at 390 with him.
-
I’m just shy of the 2nd boss pack. I’m done all programs and conquest maps but haven’t bothered much with mini seasons. I’m not that excited about the bosses outside of Griffey so I won’t bother buying the 3rd.
I don’t think I’ll get to any wheel spins this inning and I had about 5-7 in the first inning.
100% felt like far less XP available from programs etc this inning and I needed to rely more on my vCPU games grind

The "low" DEF rating is weird but with his speed he has played great for me. Plus I hit well with him. I like that card more than the Elly card.
