Dd ranked seasons pause timer

So I'm playing a game currently agains online ranked seasons pause menu. He's in the pause menu all the way down until 1 second. Then again he makes another pause. The timer resets all the way from a minute 30. How does this make sense? If you've used a minute 29 seconds off of your pause, how do you get another minute 30 for the second pause and you don't understand this?

What was the first pause? If it’s the automatic pause/prompt because they’ve done something like pinch run and the pinch runner is going to be out of position, it counts down from 15 seconds and then ends that pause/prompt. That’s separate time from the player’s actual pause time.
