I dunno why most people are upset. I'm willing to bet that the majority of the people here and who are upset won't even have half the cards required to get him. Note: past collections outside the two year sets and seasons debacle always gave an advantage to those who had the LS collection completed as that's where a lot of these cards come from.
So you're upset that it's not a desirable card and if it was you'd be upset because you couldn't get it until July lol

100% while you can't make everyone happy this community might be the worst. Every single card release is an L and can't be used online.
I can't wait for Rolen to be the collection and he's only a 91 and everyone loses their mind because he's so expensive fora 91

@aaronjw76_PSN I wouldn’t say upset. It’s just an odd choice because the people who have all these collections done probably already have Headley and I’ll bet Rolen won’t be a better option.

I’m fine with Rolen being the legend reveal I just don’t think it is a desirable enough card for a collection reward unless he is indeed a 95+ overall. In the past the collection rewards have been cards everybody wants so they are willing to spend on it..

I’m fine with Rolen being the legend reveal I just don’t think it is a desirable enough card for a collection reward unless he is indeed a 95+ overall. In the past the collection rewards have been cards everybody wants so they are willing to spend on it..
I agree, it's not a desirable card at all. I'm just shaking my head at the dichotomy of people that are disgruntled at the choice are probably in no position to acquire the card in the short-term anyway.
Unless the ratings and quirks are so geeked out I'm happy because I can continue stacking stubs until a collection card drops that IS worthy of acquisition in the short-term.
And let's be frank, we should have all known that it wouldn't be a desirable card this early in the game. 3 years ago I think it was sometime in June that we got a first big collection card?

I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of the legend reveal. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This game has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye MLB The Show. I am no longer a fan.

If he can out hit NT Bregman, fine but I doubt it. He’s been money for me this year and I never liked his cards before this year.

Rolen is part of the new Reds program similar to the one they did featuring Roy Halladay a few years ago when he debuted in the game.
I highly doubt they would drop an 87 Rolen in that program AND a 96-99 version for that big collection on the same day so I'd guess he isn't the big card of the day just the new Legend.

Kinda strange that the announced him as a Phillie and then the release is as a Red. I would expect a better version for both the Phillies and Cardinals later on

I think they announced it. I also agree that Rolen is a bit disappointing but glad he's not a collection reward. I'll be doing this program to get Cueto personally.
