Lack of Team Parity in Content Drops...
-
This is a major issue.
On launch the Milwaukee Brewers have gotten one card in a program. A 83 Cooper Pratt. They haven't seen a single one since. Pipeline/New Threads/April Showcase none.
Another day of 30+ cards released, and another Brewerless drop. There needs to be better representation of all teams in MLB The Show, flat out. My theme team is desperate, and the game was advertised that I could "build my squad my way". It's really hard when I don't have any cards to use. -
Parody or parity? English is wierd.
-
Parity* not parody.
Some of y'all in here really milking this "the game was advertised as doing this specific thing MY WAY" nonsense. Heres an idea...go buy the Robin Yount, its cheap af right now. And go finish Live Series for the Molitor. Brewers are one of the cheapest collections. Then go play mini seasons for the Ryan Braun and start My Journey to get Rollie in the pen. There you go....5 diamonds in your squad with minimal effort.

@theBlindRhino_PSN here's a dude who has never made a mistake with the English language. lol. I'll change it. Thanks.

In all seriousness, you guys have to think about this logically. There are not many Brewer legends that people want except Brewer fans, and those that people do want have gotten a card, except maybe Fielder. They are going to add more cards for teams with larger fanbases because there will be more people spending money on them. Chourio and Yelich will eventually get better cards, Burnes could get a flashback. Just have patience.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN I did all those things. hahaha. Am I asking too much for them to have made a New Threads Nestor or dropped a Brewer reliever as opposed to Giants or Mariners one? Nah. Stop. They have 2 non-live series cards in the game. Angles got 3 today. Not hearing it.
-
@DankArtifact658_XBL Robin Yount was a Headliner
-
As a Brewers fan, sorry:Pratt, Braun, Molitor, Yount. Not bad; need pitchers flashbacks though
-
@beastykrummy12_PSN I'm aware of this. That's why they need to throw in a Brice Turang in the egg hunt or April Spotlight. Nestor New Threads. They're not trying.
-
Brewers aside. I do agree that they missed the mark on New Threads. I don't need 3 red sox and 3 rangers and 2 orioles (with one of them being Gary Freakin Sanchez!). When there were players from other teams that could have been highlighted.
-
@beastykrummy12_PSN Brewers have a Top 7 Farm System in all of baseball.
Of the 30+ Pipeline cards. Zero. -
See this is why I am a diehard Yankee and Dodger fan.
-
All am saying is.. If the Yankees have 2 cards in a program drop already, don't give them an 89 Boggs. How about an 89 Prince for the BrewCrew instead? Not asking for the world here.

New Threads Nestor would be awesome.
I need a pitcher that I can use for batting practice. Lol

Completely agreed. There should not be so many multiples of the same team available in every program while a team like the Brewers doesn't have a single card. No Brewers card released in a program after release is ridiculous. Make the headliners the big market team players to draw interest, but small market players in programs. Brewers have the 8th best winning percentage in the MLB for the last 10 years, so a single current player card would be nice. We don't need to hear the excuse about "not many legends" when Eguy Rosario gets a card...
-
I have long been a proponent of a little more balance in their releases as far as teams are concerned.
They have a problem though and I understand it. The east and west coast teams have bigger followings. The Yankees and Dodgers have more desirable legends. SDS can see which cards are in the biggest demand and probably even which cards are in the most squads.
So, I have never preached that things should be 100% balanced but that the gap between the teams with the most and the teams with the least not be quite so wide. I have not done a legend and flashback tally this year but maybe it is about that time.
-
Here is the chart as of a few minutes ago. It may not include any of todays cards that have not been discovered yet (like the new Jazz card)
This seems to be pretty standard from year to year where the Yankees or Dodgers have 3 times the number of cards as the lowest teams.
There is not one team that is lagging behind all of the others though. There is a batch of them.
-
I noticed the cubs got 3 today, so they may be tied for the lead?
Yankees got 2?
Dodgers got 1?So the top three just keep on adding.
Meanwhile the Brewers got 0 giving them sole possession of last place.

@pbake12_PSN Eguy got a card in the Easter program because of his name. That’s literally the only reason. It’s not an attack on other teams or players. It’s his name, pronounced “EGGY” get it? EGGY you know? Like Easter Eggs? For the Easter program?
-
@BJDUBBYAH_PSN I do like creativity! I guess I didn't know that was how his name was pronounced. The only good Brewers option that comes to mind of players actually in the MLB is Quinn Pri"ESTER" (as in Easter). Seems like a missed opportunity.
