We need every team's commentators for Regional Broadcast games and World Series commentators

@TheBigPapa55 Also, can't forget Rick Rizzs for the M's. The Yankees now has one of our former commentators in Dave Sims.

Just doing TV -
I agree, it would be really expensive.
That said, could it be feasible to have add on packages?
Then you wouldn't pay 500$ or whatever, you pay 20$ for a set ( by division? ) of commentators.

@PriorFir4383355 said in We need every team's commentators for Regional Broadcast games and World Series commentators:
it is possible from a technical standpoint, perhaps! However, to expand the voice library files by 30 times might also be impractical.
That's literally what i said here, "Well it is possible but not practical."

Plus, national broadcasts:
FOX - Joe Davis, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal (Reporter)
FOX (X2) Joe Buck, Tim McCarver
FS1 - Jason Benetti, A.J. Pierzynski
ESPN - Karl Ravech, Eduardo Perez, David Cone, Buster Olney (Reporter)
Apple TV+ - Wayne Randazzo, Dontrelle Willis, Heidi Watney (Reporter)
MLB Network - Matt Vasgersian, Buck Martinez
TBS - Bob Costas (Yes, I'm aware of his retirement), Ron Darling (The Studio with Ernie Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Curtis Granderson, and Jimmy Rollins would be great).
That's 37 TV Channels and I can't even count the amount of announcers -
I think having a rotating cast of commentators would be nice. I think Madden does it
-
@Invinitee
If only. Maybe if Steve Cohen was running things. -
I Miss. Don. Orsello. You padre, fans, are so lucky that John Henry is a knucklehead.
-
MLBTS should bring back the radio and TV calls at start up and between music but add classic calls from the mlb archives it is a mlb product after all that all 30 teams share revenue from.
-
As great as it would be to hear McCarthy and kruk calling games, with the way the CPU haphazardly pieces together the recorded comments and outright butchers it at times,I never would want that.
-
@jake93436 If they ever have real commentators then it would take a while until MLB 28, 29, or 30 to be completed
-
@TheBigPapa55 In addition, Bob Costas, Jim Kaat, John Smoltz, Yonder Alonso, and Harold Reynolds do play-by-play and/or color commentary for some MLB Network games. In my opinion, both Sciambi and Singleton need to be let go after this years' edition. Yes, their broadcast commentary may be great in real life, but, for this game they're horrible! Since, SDS is based in San Diego, the easy choice would be to hire Don Orsillo and Mark Grant from the Padres broadcast team to replace them. But, pretty much any of the broadcasters mentioned above by us fans would do a better job than Jon and Chris are doing right now.
-
Jon Sciambi is amazing in real life but is just stale in the game
-
@TheBigPapa55
I think Brian Anderson is play-by-play for TBS but who cares -
Personally, I liked the previous announcing team. I even miss Hiedi Whatney as much as she irritated me. I think people are way too invested in announcers, whether it be in a live broadcast or a video game. Madden has four sets of announcers, and their dialog gets old, too. Plus, no one has the budget for 75 or more announcers. I'd simply be happy if the game invested to get more last names in the database.
-
I’ve thought about this, and as much as I want that, I also recognize that it’ll never happen. I don’t mind the announcers at all. I would rather have a consistent roster that gets updated throughout the season, the ability to play in single A, amongst others. I also know that rosters get updated throughout the season, but at times it’s incredibly inconsistent. I also think having actual minor league stadiums would be very cool, but I highly doubt that gets added in as well.
-
This is a lot of money going in a direction that doesn’t fix the game fyi. I like the idea in theory but you’ll say 24 was copy cat game, if this is implemented the games would probably be the same with this added. It’d be better maybe if they choose a YT’er that does MLB content to be the colored commentator for Boog in regional games.
-
the regional broadcast is pretty bad I think this year. It looks cheap.
I really liked last years much better. Last year's looked like NBC sports networks real life regional presentations.
-
@Invinitee they can’t even add the players who have been playing for multiple years… you think they’re gonna add different commentators for every stadium? That’s crazy! That would be cool, but that’s crazy
-
@TheBigPapa55 I am from Cleveland but regardless Tom Hamilton is the best to ever do it
