Who do you like at catcher?
-
Napoli... I've hit great with him and for the most part I pull everything even tho he's a push hitter
Simmons has no leg kick and I can't use players with no leg kicks
I always love biggio cards but his attributes are really low. I did well with him in conquest maps but wasn't willing to take him into ranked.

@ref479ode_PSN dude. The no leg kick. I was using him and couldn’t figure it out than the other day I was like oh this dude has no leg kick and it’s throwing off my timing. I always time pitching through my per-vision by the plays leg kick. And Simmons kills me with his semi step.

I use Tek because I’m a Sox Homer. Simmons is in LF. Napoli either at DH or on the bench lol. Really good early game catcher options
-
I use the guy from Seattle a lot. He’s a gold, I think. But he hits so well for me. I can’t think of his name off the top of my head.
-
I also like the Big Dumper even if he is a gold, but just picked up Varitek so going to see how he does
-
@sbchamps17_NSW variteks been great for me. Though I still cant tell wether theres too many balls that get away from him for my liking. Idk if its a huge problem in the game overall or if its him, but theres alot of hold your breath moments compared to real life. Especially after strikeouts. Half my strikeouts it feels like require a recovery and throw to first.
Great middle of the lineup switch hitter with decent clutch, just im a big fielding guy, i like good fielding/arms etc.
-
Simmons has been the guy since I got him but he's not throwing anyone out trying for second. Consistently gets on base though.

I used Cal Raleigh (aka „The Big Dumper“) for most of the season, but I switched to Varitek (although he is from the Red Sox
)

New Threads Sanchez has been a beast
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN . Isn't he super slow though
-
Simmons mainly for nostalgic reasons. He was one of my favorite Cardinals as a kid.

Tek used to be a walking home run for me on PS2-PS3. I hope his old stance is still there because it was awesome.

Been using amix of Basillio and Biggio of late. Just depends on rest of my line up. Buy I have noticed Basillio let's a lot of balls by him but his arm makes up for it. But Biggio been pretty solid behind the plate.
-
I agree Varitek is really good for me and can over look all the dropped 3rd strikes

You can time the start of a leg kick with the Pitchers release... Fastball they start kick sooner or off speed the pitcher holds the ball longer.
Little strides like that or mcgwire for example is prob why most suck with mcgwire.
Go in practice mode and compare someone like Manny to mcgwire against the same pitcher.... It's pretty crazy how much earlier Manny swing starts than mcgwire by comparison
-
@sbchamps17_NSW what causes that so I know what to look for in my next catcher upgrade? Lol
-
I've been running Dalton cRushing.
-
I have been strictly using all Braves for 98% of my games. So Drake Baldwin. But on the flip side. Almost all my opponents are using Rushing…because nobody wants to try to be different.
