Backorders removed

Everyone please tell me if I'm overreacting but it just feels like they are doing everything they can to nerf stub making in the game. Year after year changes are made to stop us from making stubs, they now have me wondering when roster updates are gonna go. Idk if it's so much the removal of backorders that I dislike or the compiling negative changes to the market aspect of the game.

@Kah-glizzy_PSN Has it been verified that back orders have been removed? That would be a massive let down.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN today in the positional change update Kris Bubic went from 76 to 78. (Love how they purposefully didn't touch his stamina to not give him the boost to 80 ovr) And all the orders below 125 stubs were wiped off the market. 125 being the cutoff cus the QSV for a 78 is 125.

Backorder?
-
@Kah-glizzy_PSN Good? It's so people can't accidently sell a card for less than its quicksell value. This is a positive change. Sorry you can't rip people off anymore, I guess.
-
Let’s be clear, the OP was in OhChev’s twitch chat last night bragging about how he used his profits from these back orders to sell to 3rd party stub sites. He is mad because this change is costing him actual money (violating TOS).

If true: as much stubs as I made with this, it is somehow okay, if SDS helps out players from making a mistake. I always thought, that they should always have the „max-minimum“ order for those who click quickly … I still profited, but is okay for me if they make a change to stop it. Nobody wants to sell below quick-sell

It doesn't take even 1/4 of a brain to not accidentally sell a card for QS value. Maybe people should slow down for 2 seconds before hitting X. Either way, user stupidity err error.

S you’re mad you can’t exploit the game anymore. Got it
-
@LIONED-33_XBL It’s not an exploit. It was a great way to make stubs.

I made millions and millions of stubs this way.
-
@aaronjw76_MLBTS Same. I still have 10’s of millions in stubs and cards on my 24 account because of back orders. They are doing every single thing they can to ruin stub making, so people will buy stubs.

Love to see it. If these people put as much effort into the actual stock market instead of a virtual video game where the currency has no actual value, they could probably make thousands. But hey, priorities.

I definitely won't be buying and this is probably my last run with the game given the turn it has taken. I buy a barely improved game every year... that's enough of my money that they deserve lol
-
If their purpose was to destroy the market and make everyone buy stubs, wouldn’t they just make all buys and sells at the QS price, or even worse, make all cards non sellable?

My portfolio is solid.

@aaronjw76_MLBTS I was on the fence this year and wish I hadn’t bought it. Not being able make stubs makes this game less fun for me. I’m not buying stubs. I’ll probably stop playing earlier than usual. We’ll see if they do something that brings me back next year.

It’s a change that should have been made years ago, just like the minimum order values should be set to quick sell value + 10% so it’s impossible to net less stubs from a card sale after tax than the quick sell value. Yes, people should be able to figure out not to sell less than quick sell value after tax on their own but there’s no reason in the world to not just prohibit it. This change would also force “investors” into actually assuming some more risk when buying cards as currently, when their “investment” goes bust, they just quick sell to recover. With this change, they’d take a minimum 10% loss.
They should also make quick sell value be determined at the time that you acquire the card and not change based on attribute updates. That way, if you invest in a 80 gold at 400 and it gets updated to 84, you cannot just quick sell all of your inventory at 1500 and create 1100 new stubs out of thin air. Rather, if you want to sell at 1500, you’d have to actually sell it in the market to another person paying 1500 (or 1667 based on my other suggestion). Your quick sell value would remain at 400.
The overall market inflation caused by the quick sell value changing and creating new stubs out of thin air, instead of by actually playing the game, is far & away the least player friendly aspect of the game when it comes to rewarding people for playing the game. It makes it far more beneficial to spend your time not playing it. That’s just stupid.

@RealPudgyPanda_MLBTS This would all make sense if there were better ways to make stubs by just playing the game.

More than I think you would ever need so my question is "Why?"
