I think fielding has a few issues myself. It’s not perfect, but didn’t SDS say that you needed to take the ideal route to the ball this year or risk being punished?

The route should not matter when you are camped under the ball. The fact that outfielders are semi-regularly having fly balls bounce off their head or torso is indicative of some problems.

I have yet to have a ball I’m camped under hit my fielder in the head. I’ve only had issues if I take a sharp angle to a ball, or try to cut it off at an extreme angle.

You know right away when you can run full throttle towards an easy flyout the animation won’t kick in.

I don’t have any of the issues above... the thing that bothers me is that it doesn’t start off with the correct fielder who’s ball it is to catch keyed up ...; can’t tell you how many times the ball is hit and I’m like that’s the CF’s ball so I start moving what I think is the CF but then see he’s not moving - it’s my [censored] corner OF who shouldn’t be making the play in any baseball world .... this also happens on the soft pop ups in between the IF and OF ..... needs to be patched to fix the correct fielder priority....

I have had issues with 1st and 3rd basemen chasing fly balls in foul territory get under the ball and it just drops! No reason for this twice in one game this happened!

Maybe it costs that much to buy stubs to get Mantle, but if a legitimate job existed where they pay you $1200 for every Mantle you can get, that would be a pretty sweet gig

The game is not perfect. It has flaws, just like every other game. I personally haven’t experienced many problems at all with hitting or pitching, however, fielding definitely needs work. But you guys take things too far. There is a difference between constructive criticism and pouting like little children. When you throw around utter nonsense like “the game is scripted”, “the game wants me to lose” and “the game doesn’t reward skilled players”, you really water down the effectiveness of addressing legitimate bugs in the game. It’s kind of like the boy who cried wolf. So just relax a little bit. The game had literally been out one month and we’ve been in a global pandemic. Give SDS a chance to fix some of the bugs in their “garbage” game..

I just call things as I see it. I totally agree with the repetitive “games scripted” comments but there are major issues with this game and there has been ZERO communication from SDS about this issues. It is unprofessional and frankly a little shady. Absolutely no excuse to not just put out a little blog post saying they are trying and to forgive them for their inability to put out a working product. A working product that we all were expecting to receive when buying this game.
Don’t lump people who are upset with the game in the same category as the conspiracy theorists on here. Two completely different things.
