Market flipping is dead
-
Between SDS nerfing quicksell values and other ways to make stubs and the community killing equipment prices with the RTTS glitch yesterday. This is the worst I've ever seen price gaps at launch.
-
Just buy some 35 stub bronze cards with a decent margin, buy 100 in the app. Then set them all to sell and forget about it.
If you do it in the app it doesn't take they long
-
@ref479ode_PSN I know how to use the app, but the problem is the margins are so small its just harder to make a decent profit on anything. The 35 stub bronze probably sells for 60-100. In years past even for a low end flip like that I wouldn't waste my time for anything less than 150-200 profit. Heck even diamond players you're likely to invest 11k for less than 1k profit. Not worth it imo

75 stubs per flip x 100 = 7500
Then do that with like 5 players at a time.I just put a [censored] ton of orders in and later in the day I go to my dupes in the app and sell em
Imo volume is where the profit is

First month or so margins are ALWAYS this bad.
Always. -
@SaveFarris_PSN I disagree, this reminds me of 1 or 2 months after launches prices. I usually make a killing first month off flipping low tier cards, equipment, and stadiums and uniforms. After that it's all investing for roster updates and diamond players that have growth potential. I don't flip low cards in bulk at all later on after I'm up over a couple hundred thousand or half mill.
Idk maybe it'll pick up after full release hopefully
-
@ref479ode_PSN yeah definitely high volume is where it's at. But I don't have to teach the math when you used to be able to make over 150-500 stubs a flip on an low Investment. And right now silver equipment is like 38 stubs buy in to sell it for like 78 stubs. That's what I'm saying, the margins are [censored]

Must be a timing thing, Friday I bought 3 of each AL LS bronze kept 1 sold 2 back, went from 20k to 45 k and had all the al bronzes.
Yesterday it was the nl ones and from 45k to 65k, flipping has been really good though I expect that to change on Tuesday morning. -
The game hasn’t even had its full launch yet dude.
-
It’s just the hardcore bros who knows what’s what during the pre-launch. Once the plebs and mouthbreathers start playing, they will be more likely to use Buy Now/Sell Now and margins will get better.
-
I like Gold Flips that make me 150 per flip so I don't have to flip as many to hit my daily goal. Which is always hard with my schedule. However, maybe it's time to do exchanges till the Market adjusts.

I'm putting myself in the "hardcore bros" category. I know "what's what".
-
Yea stubbs are high value right now, they have their system in place, it will open up with time.

exchanges are not the move this year unfortunately. At least it wasnt sample size I did nor the price of what golds are going for. It costs about 700-800 to do a gold exchange and you need to average an 82 just to break even. In my sample, that definitely did not happen and ended up losing stubs.
Years past it was a great way to make stubs if you had the patience to sit there and do exchanges for hours on end (I did not lol) but this year it does not seem to be very valuable.
-
My anecdotal experience suggest the OP is accurate. I was usually able to easily flip my way to 700-800K in stubs by now with nothing more than the stubs given with the pre-order and I'm just under half that. The volume just doesn't seem to be there right now so far. I don't even go for big profitable flips. I tend to build my stub count on 150-500 profit flips in volume but the volume is definitely down.
-
It doesn’t help that there are people that don’t know to price the items one stub less or more. I will never understand why people will try to sell an item for 500 stubs less.
-
@aaronjw76_MLBTS I was going to go with the Silver Exchange. Can get a 74 Broze for 30-32 and it takes 8. I'll try 10 and see what the average is.

that's always a problem but usually less annoying when the market is active. When it's dead like now then those window lickers really magnify the problem lol

Always.it's not about margins. It's about volume. Volume is down. There are far better market people than I am but I've gotten collections done in the first two weeks (without having to be IN the market for hours on end) the last 4 years since figuring out how to make stubs on the market. There is definitely a notable drop this year based on my own experience compared to the past.

@The_Bane_Event_PSN because they don’t care about flippers and have determined the price that will make then happy?
