It's weird and seems to be a case-by-case negotiation more than a universal waiting period because some players like David Wright were out of the game for exactly five years while a guy like Curtis Granderson retired after 2019 and was not only still in 20, but I think he's been in every installment since then.

@silviodante007_PSN Depends on the fan I guess. I’m hoping to get a Padres Reggie Sanders. He was only here for a season, but it was one of his best.

Granderson is actually the unicorn in this case. When he retired it was after a certain date so he still belonged under the MLBPA agreement and hence was still in 20. He was out in 21 and came back in 22 and he's the only player I can recall where that has happen

God not Ryan Ludwick. Unless they pull something out of their hat Pujols and Molina are not back in the game yet.
I am kind of happy it is somebody new and that they did not waste an 85 diamond on a better player.

Eh, he was just was never one of my favorites and we have gotten him two years in a row. Good card but I am happy for a change. I am sure Ludwick will still get dropped later.

@Dolenz64_XBL That's fair, I'm happy to see Berkman this year and we get Beltran back for some switch hitters.
