30 TA Bosses Dropped

I was hoping for Simmons for the Cards but I will take an Edmonds.
-
I'm curious as to why 8 of them are 86s. Not a huge deal its just weird that they wouldnt keep them all consistently the same overall.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN it's also weird because a couple are bad teams like the white Sox but then you have padres and braves so who knows
-
We should also not overlook the fact that their captain abilities will all have the same boosts but not always for the same amount.
They showed yesterday that the Yankee captain maxxed out at boosting stuff by +10 while a lesser team like the White Sox captain boosted +15 to make up for the fact that they have less legends and a lesser quality of flashbacks.

That was the case back in 2020 as well for the first round of TA cards except the range was much wider. Most were an 87-88 overall, but some were as low as 85 and there were even a few at 89.

Is Hank Thompson a new legend?

Bob Kendrick sheds a single solitary tear...
-
Lemme rephrase that. Has he had a Giants card before?
-
Biggio primary as catcher is interesting
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN it’s got to do with the way the attributes scale. If they want a player to be at a certain level offensively/defensively they have to make the compromise on an OVR being a little higher
-
Kind of a bummer with Matt Holiday being the A's guy... he was only there for half a season, and complained about it.
-
I am finally starting to get psyched about the new game cycle! Really like this card art, and I like seeing new (and returning) legends from 50+ years ago. I am genuinely optimistic about MLBTS25 returning to form!
BUT... the part of my brain that craves consistency doesn't love that some of these are legends, some are current stars in their prime, some are aging stars on the cusp of retirement, and others are essentially one tiny step above Future Stars. Oh well (maybe that's part of the "journey" in "My Journey?"). Also very weird to see a lot of franchise guys (Frank on the Sox, Brett on the Royals), but then some weird blips like Holiday on the A's.
-
@The_Joneser_PSN We only had an 84 for him last year, Cardinals better get at a least 90 Holliday this year haha.

It really does seem like they are trying very hard to address the concerns of the last two years. I'm sure the packs will still be annoyingly frequent, but if it means that they keep having legends expansions like this and they eventually make it easy to get everything like last year I'm somewhat ok with that
-
@P0pa-Cherry_XBL No, he did not; but, he had a Negro League Card last year. Bob Kendrick mentioned that he played for both the New York and San Francisco Giants during his career.
-
@Bicarbonate_Fury_MLBTS Well, Biggio was the Houston Astros primary catcher from 1988-1991, until the Astros traded Kenny Lofton, an outfield prospect at the time, for Indians backup catcher, Eddie Taubansee. Afterwards, Taubansee became an Astro, he became the primary catcher, and the club moved Biggio to second base. It was a shock at the time, since Craig had won a Gold Glove at catcher, and Eddie was not used on a regular basis in Cleveland. But, it worked out splendidly later because both of them were still on the Astros, when they won five straight division titles between 1994-1999.

I'm loving Grich for the halo's, but I'd take Edmonds everyday in CF for my boys. Still the prettiest catch I ever saw was a no look dive catch by Edmonds. So pretty...
