The list of songs for MLB 25 was posted in the News section. I'm totally unfamiliar with every song on that list!
I guess SDS doesn't think anything from the rock and roll era will be played in an MLB park anymore. I'm pretty sure that's way off base!
06-13 had great, diverse soundtracks that introduced me to songs and bands I never would have listened to. They need to bring back whoever curated those, because that music was great. I hate to sound like an old man, but I was born in '98 and, outside of two artists, I have no clue who these people are.

I think Naughty By Nature - Uptown Anthem is the only song ive ever heard on there.
-
Why not add songs by "The Score", "Oh the Larceny", they have good songs that woukd fit in this game.
-
Maybe they should just.....i dont know....use songs that have something to do with baseball.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I miss the days when games used good music. I’m looking at you Tony Hawk Pro skater 2. Just download Spotify or another music app and play your own music. Turn in game music off but league the game sounds. I’ve been doing that for a few years now.
-
Am I able to download my cheers and roars in order for the crowd to yell what I download
-
Yah this soundtrack is an L. Kinda tired of the whole “hip hop/R&b” only stuff.
-
I’ll reserve judgment for when I’ll be playing; haven’t checked the list, but I’m 45 and every year I discover stuff outside my comfort zone and I think that’s great.

This right here. Never heard of the Black Pumas until MLB the Show this year, and I have fallen in love with their music.
-
I used to create my own on PS3
Mötley Crüe
Meat Loaf
AC/DC
Ozzy
I miss being able to do that. -
@JDHalfrack_PSN I went and checked out the list ; I know the Teskey Brothers and Lamar, but by name/reputation only; I couldn’t name one track he did.
-
I wonder if they even know the average age of their audience. I'm guessing it's older than other sports games. I'll never hear the music they put in as I turn it off. Save the money they spend on lousy music and use it on another legend.

First question, why is a game with an E rating include so many tracks with explicit tags?
They have a Spotify play list in the news article. For some reason they include 100 songs but only 38 of those are on the soundtrack.
There are actually some decent songs that I could listen to on this years list. This is so many more than normal for me, a 60 year old who grew up on 70s classic rock.
Bad Bad News (Leon Bridges) - I kinda like what I hear of this one.
Hold My Head (Kenny Beats) - Has a nice groove and isn't awful.
Give in (Liza) - I did not mind this one.
Come and Get This (Marvin Gaye) - It's Marvin Gaye so it is pretty good.
We Are One (Maze) - Classic 80's pop/R&B which is pretty good.
Oceans of Emotion (Tesky Brothers) - Cool Song - I actually like it.
Slow Slipper (The Dip) - This one is actuallly a good bluesy R&B track.
Shortyville (Trombone Shorty) - Pretty cool instrumental
Groceries (Carrtoons) - Has a 70's style R&B vibe
Talking on the Internet (Spiritual Cramp) - First actual song that could be considered rock. Just OK.
Sunshine Getaway (JD McPherson) - Not bad
Take It or Leave It (Coin) - Rock/Pop -
I don’t recognize a single song. I was appreciative of them throwing in a Metallica song a few years ago, but I’ll just go with my Apple Music playlist instead.

The game has clean versions of each song.

We add new songs to an established MLB The Show Soundtrack playlist. There is also one just for MLB The Show 25 here, https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2vEUNx35gY9owG20R2CHHi?si=578e7be8326a4cce

Thanks for the answers.
Maybe I am just an old fogey at this point but I have got to wonder if it would not just be easier to pick songs without explicit lyrics (even if you play clean versions in game). 15 of the 38 songs on that play list are labeled as explicit.
And if you read this can I put in one major QOL feature request for the jukebox? Please don't reenable every track in the juke box each time you add a song to the game? If I have to remember which songs I had turned off and on each time that happens then I will end up just turning them all off.
