We are also thrilled to announce that MLB The Show 25 will launch on March 18, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch. The game will not be on platform subscription services in 2025. Early Access begins on March 14, 2025 for anyone who purchases the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Seems really strange to me to keep the switch and ignore the PS4 and Xbox 1

It was only confirmed for PS5, X/S, and Switch, so I doubt it.The question(s) I have is if it is still on the Switch, then will PS5 and X/S get an enhanced version? If not, then it does not make sense to drop the PS4 and One.. ...And if the game is indeed enhanced for the current gen, then will the Switch 2 get that enhanced version?

Then again with the way it reads it says switch... smdh. So stupid if they keep Switch around, how "next gen" is this new game going to be with Switch still around i mean seriously

Then why would they not say Switch 2?
Also, the switch is included on the March 18th release date and the Switch 2 will not even be out yet. As far as I know there is no set release date for it.

There is no release date for Switch 2 yet, the only thing I've heard is that it's most likely going to cost $500 to buy Switch 2

It's mlb licensing, they can drop PS4 and Xbox 1 cause it still is on PS and Xbox, can't with switch( though I expect next year it will only be switch 2)

I think it is still worth saving up for.... The S2 upscaling technology looks amazing. I think MLBTS will play excellent, even in portable/handheld mode.. -

Well, you are making some assumptions there.
I have had a PS5 since launch. I am actually on my second one.
I also have an Xbox Series X
And a gaming PC (although it is getting outdated)But thanks for playing.

We don't have to hear all the gamepass people mention they have gamepass over and over. They're like Vegans. BYE!
That is very selfish behaviour. Gamepass is a good and relative cheap way on getting to play video games …

@bjd10048_MLBTS this is a pretty bad take , gamepass made MLB the show a super value, since all consoles share DD I could purchase the switch version for on the go and the have the Xbox version for home play. In fact I would even purchase the Deluxe upgrade for the GP version.
Now I'll be honest I'm not buying either. The game has already become a HUGE money grab at least there was some value in the entry point but that's all but gone.
That DD version is likely gonna be 179.99 in Canada based on the pricing of the WWE game that went on pre order today. So no gamepass is a real kick in the teeth

Not a chance. I am retired and I value my toys and would not consider myself "poors".
I also appreciate trying to get some value for my money where I can so that I can afford those toys.

Losing Gamepass is not a good thing if you play online. You will be losing a ton of casuals who would only play because it’s on gamepass. I wouldn’t be surprised if it does drop on GamePass on a later date though.
