RIP Bob Uecker
-
Even at my advanced age I never actually saw him play but I remember him always being on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and he was always entertaining. And of course his role in Major League was legendary
"Just a bit outside!"
I never realized he was a member of the 1964 Cardinals World Series Championship team.
-
Major League was my favorite movie and loved him in that movie
-
Oddly enough, my first exposure to Uecker was Mr. Belvedere.
RIP to one of the game's greatest ambassadors.

Oh yeah, I definitely remember the commercials.
I also love this Team photo. Uecker and the usually intimidating Bob Gibson actually held hands during the team photo. It was not noticed until later and the team had to retake the picture and both players were fined.

This is by far the funniest thing I've seen on the Forum all year

Need a Uecker captain card, terrible stats but incredible buffs
