Can someone tell me how he goes from diamond in the beginning of the season all the way down to a Bronze? I haven't really been following the Blue Jays and only know that he was hurt at least twice this season but was he really that bad at the plate?

311 AB in 81 Games……0.225avg and 0.599 OPS…..as a Jays fan it was rough to watch.

It was just surprising to see him as a Bronze when I know that he's a better hitter than what he was this season so maybe he was more injured than he let on

85 to an 82 on April 26th
82 to an 80 on May 17th
80 to a 78 on June 7th
78 to 76 on June 28th
76 to 74 on July 26thContact vs righties dropped from 95 to 64
Contact vs lefties dropped from 102 to 51 -
1- he was injured a LOT
2- SDS is kinda notorious for dropping BlueJays HARD the second they take a dip. I'm not saying he shouldn't have dropped, because he was off. -

They do it to other teams and players too. I believe Goldy dropped 20 points last year, from a low 90 to a 73. Arenado went from a low 90 to a 78.
No player or team was immune to it last year with the exception of Jazz Chisholm who they just ignored and never updated because he was having a bad season.

Was Bellinger a bronze at one point this year?

I don’t understand how Ryan Helsley went from a gold to a silver and stayed there. They really need to adjust how they do RP/CP

You can drive yourself crazy if you look at the numbers and ratings.
Blake Treinen has an 80 for his K/9 attribute. His SO/9 in real life was 10.8
Ryan Helsley has a 71 for his K/9 attribute. His SO/9 in real life was 10.7A 9 point attribute difference for between a 10.7 and 10.8?
We shan't talk about Treinen have the same 99 velocity rating as Helsley. Or that he only had 5 save opportunities and 1 save all year and is labeled as a closer in front of 4 other LA pitchers that had more save opportunities and saves. By the way, that one save came in May
I have said it for years. Their pitching metrics are focused on H/9, K9, and BB9. If you are successful by other metrics it does not matter. There is no attribute for weak contact.
