Hallelujah!

We...won...we WON!!!
-
Correct move. Seasons in an ultimate team mode of a yearly release is counterintuitive to the game.

Dedicated servers please

Until people start complaining thst they don't get a 99 of their favorite player until Aug/Sept.
-
Just when I thought I was out......they pull me back in!
-
Nice to see those surveys meant something... Thank you for listening SDS!
-
we did it guys !!!
-
"Why won't you release a 99 version of XXX?" - this board next July
-
just need them to eliminate previous gen systems and nintendo switch copies.

They'll never eliminate them. I can see making two versions of the game. But They'll never eliminate that many people and that much revenue.

Almost all positive sounding changes. We will see what they actually boil down to when the game is released. If there is one thing SDS has always been decent at is putting things in the best light and drumming up interest before launch.
The only thing that bothered me was the following statement in Gameplay
Gameplay: With the expansion of quick time events
Yuck, quick time events.

I'm good for bringing back the '9 Innings' format from years past.

Really? How many more people with PS5s will buy the game if they do? I say 1000, tops. Compare that to the lost revenue from PS4 and Switch and there's just no way they do that.

You think people would just never play the game again and stay on PS4 forever? Doubtful. Sure they'd lose the casual fan...the "it was free this month on PS+ and i know the baseball season is over but where should i start" crowd but most fans of baseball and most gamers in general would make the jump.

What does “quick time events” mean?
Anybody?

There were a couple of moments in the Jeter & Negro League storylines where you had to field/throw a ball.
Those.

Maybe you're right. If you really believe that this game would drive console sales it might make sense. But me? I only play 2 games, this and FIFA, and I'm not buying a new console. I'll be just fine playing Franchise and RTTS on my PS4 with the game I own now. I'll bet I'm not alone.

For every 1 person thats done buying consoles and insists on playing a PS4 for all eternity, there are are probably 100 who would say "Well...i only play this and (insert other game here) and both companies are moving to PS5 only. Looks like i need to save for a PS5"
Not many people are gonna quit gaming for good if their game of choice goes current gen only.
