SDS If Your Trying to Chase People Away From Playing Your Game Your Doing a Great Job!!!

@NOWLTZKI_MLBTS I don’t agree with everything you said, but this program might be the worst thing they’ve done all year. Pretty ironic for the romantic about baseball program. All of these cards are completely worthless and worse than the Team Affinity cards. Where is all the content? I agree that there’s nothing to do.
-
Do you guys just play to collect every card, or do you play games too? I am not knocking on how or why anyone plays. I understand that if you are good enough to have finished everything, the game could get stale. I have the opposite problem, I worry I won’t get things done in time. I agree with @NOWLTZKI_MLBTS that there are plenty of players who don’t have a 99, I am waiting for Kershaw as well as some of the players mentioned. I think guys like Harper and Turner could get a Finest card, if we are getting Finest this year.

I'm not going to say that the Kris Bryant Card is great but everyone talks about how good MLB 21 was.
On Sept 1st 2021 SDS released Evolution programs for a 96 Johnny Damon and a 97 Orlando Cepeda. You wanna talk about underwhelming cards in Sept.
On Oct 7th 2021 They released the Sept POTM program
1 - 99 overall card (lightning)
2 - 98 overall cards
4 - 97 Overall cards
2 - 96 overall cardsSo we were still getting 96's in Oct of that year.
As for the 99's they are coming. There is still the Finest series to come. There are bosses for the second half of season 3 and then Bosses and collections for season 4 (if the do them). Standout players on many of the postseason teams will get boosted cards.
It's not like it is a new thing for SDS to hold back the 99's of some of the most coveted players until late in the year. I am not a fan of that personally but it has been pretty common every year.

Kinda how we ended up with seasons, players that left for football, basketball and hockey would complain that the best cards(versions) didn't come out while they were still playing and they never got to use them

This program just feels extremely random and lazy as it gets. Did they pull names out of a hat? The skeleton crew may have moved on to work on 25 and the unpaid intern was left in charge of this pathetic excuse for a program. Before the apologists rush in to attack me for being critical, I’m not saying they should have given us end game cards in this program, but lower level 99s or simply crowd favorites would have gone a long way towards making this program palatable.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN You still would've complained about them not being the 99's that YOU wanted...
-
Of course I doubt SDS intended to chase anyone away, but the honest truth is that my commitment to play daily stopped shortly after the OOP program started. I really couldn't get into those cards and as I do like to play ranked games here and there, I wasn't really able to build my team up. I didn't log in for a few days (binged Cobra Kai) and then thought I'd check out the Romantic program, which honestly I did find underwhelming. Not for the card overalls, I had no issue there, but simply rather for the lack of coherence in the program execution. It didn't draw me back in. The OOP program was the problem for me, though. As I'm not playing right now, I'm not progressing in TA and of course this is going to cause problems for me later if I want to reengage for Finest. I'll deal with it, if I decide to play again this year, but honestly it's not looking likely at the moment.

People get obsessive about OVR number, but anyone who has played the game for more than 30 seconds knows that OVR is not always a reliable indicator of how you (or others) will play with that card. The 91 TN Shea Langeliers from S1 is the best card I've used all year. I had a lot of luck with the 99 Johnny Bench and the 99 Josh Gibson, but my overall stats are still better with the 91. Also, captain cards and parallel upgrades can help shore up any deficiencies (real or imagined).
All that said, no one cares about Kris Bryant or John Singleton, so I understand the disappointment. But, imo, the real problem is that SDS is dripping out content like they're rationing it for the apocalypse. I finished TA 3.1 in the first weekend (mostly from completing the US map) and I finished Romantic About Baseball in a couple hours or so. Now there's not a whole lot to do but sit around and count the walls until the next drop. Would it kill SDS to put out another shark map or something like that?

I believe that a "Program" can't be a Program without a Conquest map. Just "moments" and "stat missions" don't cut it.
Also... I don't know what it is, but Singleton hits everything hard, even though he's a lowly 95.

The Brett Phillips card is raking for me, I took the David Justice card out of my lineup after I finished his mission

It's so funny how this works. I love Justice, and I went 0-12 with Phillips in CQ games.
-
@SchnauzerFace_MLBTS Yeah, the overall doesn’t matter, but these players are worse than most of the oop players.
-
I find the content to be lazy, incoherent. But I have bigger issues with the game play. Way too much of a roll of the dice. Season 2, towards the end, pulled me back in. OP is correct. There's nothing to get excited about. Nada. That loses a player base, in short order. Seasons has to be scratched. It fails to work.
-
I like playing any baseball game.
This game plays best with LS Cards on hof IMO.So I do my offline stuff like that and rather enjoy it.
Vs Mini Seasons I set my squad at a rank 85/88 to play the cpu.
The programs I just do not care about.

Where is 99 John Donaldson, 99 Mickey Mantle, 99 Bryce Harper, 99 Trea Turner, 99 Pedro Martinez, 99 Nolan Ryan, 99 Justin Verlander,
They still have the 99 TA for season 3....and they still have season 4.
-
Does anyone expect new content for Season 4? I thought last year the final season was just a way for players who started late to earn the early season cards, and it removed the set restrictions.

There will be 1 TA in season 4
-
Is season 4 when all the cards in the game are eligible again?
