@Cubsfan217_XBL But who cares...you get 4. You have 4. Why does it matter that you unlock extras that aren't used cause you already have access to them? And yes, OP's been crying about this since S3 dropped just like he cried about Duplicate cards he earned cause he smashed out the Conquest 3 times the day it dropped like an insane person and then come to find out...SDS releases another way to obtain the same cards.
Once again, calling me an insane person for playing a video game.
I've had about enough out of you. But you're insignificant to me so I'll just ignore.
The overarching issue is SDS penalizing people for playing their fricking game TOO much.
And FYI I play a lot because I have terminal cancer and had to quit my teaching career to undergo chemo. The game takes my mind off of horrible things.
I've also been lucky enough to go on four bucket list trips in the last 6 months.
But when I'm home, I like to play a lot, and would like to be rewarded for that.
Did you just say, "I've had about enough out of you" dude?
-
@Cubsfan217_XBL I think that's what happened. Why write up a new blog post about unlocking WCs in season 3 if this was planned?
-
I personally think wildcards should decrease as the season progresses. you should start with more to use early in the season when there are less cards, and over time lose them, presumably to put in your new cards.

They are not penalizing you.
What you want is to do is penalize players who just started playing the game this season because they would never be able to achieve the same number of wildcards as those who started playing last season.
You already get rewarded for playing so much. You earn more XP and will earn more rewards along the XP path than those who play less. You'll have a better shot at finishing all the programs than those who play less. You will probably have a better shot at completing collections than those who play less.
For example last season you probably earned all 3 bosses. I play less and earned 1 of them, mere days before the season ended. Is that not already an advantage for you over someone who plays less.

Forum arguments crack me up.
“Hold me back! Why I outta!”
Yeah someone actually said “I’ve had about enough of you”. We’re in a 50s sitcom folks

This actually makes a lot of sense. I hope SDS either abandons or totally rethinks the idea of seasonal resets next year, but if they do bring back this format then I think your idea would probably soothe a lot of anger. Start each new season with 5 or 6 WC slots and then take one away each week or something like that (but still leave a couple at the end). Also, allowing wildcard slots to count toward TA and other stat grinds would be very helpful.

Hey buddy! Good to see you in here.
Thankfully- for season 3 offline grinding they are allowing all cards to count. TA3, Mini Seasons TA3, the USA Map etc. I have yet to use a new OOP card

Yes! I noticed that they made that change a couple days after S3 dropped. It made grinding through the new USA map to be much easier -- perhaps it was a little too easy, because I was able to finish the map and all TA3.1 yesterday. So I am kinda sitting with nothing to work toward until the next drop. Oh well!
I took almost the whole summer off from these forums because I can't seem to load the website on my phone or ipad at home. It always comes back with some sort of "rerouting" error or something. But I can use my work computer without any trouble, so I'm back here annoying people for the forseeable future.
-
Bottom line they screwed up with sets and seasons. Will it change? Hopefully. But this years structure has been awful

Instead of the rest of my post, THAT'S what you focus on?
These boards seem to be filled with miserable people who can't/don't show empathy towards others. It's really sad.
Also, the defending of SDS is at disgusting levels. I even said in the rest of my OP they're better than 2K and EA. But that doesn't mean they don't make mistakes and screw things up from time to time.

It was the most absurd part of your petulant, embarrassingly childish tantrum. So, yeah. That's the part I focused on.

Explain how pointing out a mistake and oversight in the game is petulant, embarrassing and childish?
And the comment about having enough out of the other poster was directed to him, not you.
He's on multiple occasions said I'm "insane* for playing so much. I was simply explaining why.
You should be embarrassed that you're a disgusting human being that has no compassion for others.

@dbub_PSN do you play Ranked?
-
Not this year yet. I used to. Only online I do is completing BR programs.

Ok. Then can I ask why you would need the extra three WC spots?
Everything, except Ranked, Events (can't use WC spots), BR, and Mode Specific Mini Seasons, don't have any lineup restrictions.
-
You're right. I really don't. It was just another example of what I believe is SDS inexplicably penalizing players for playing too much.
I admit, pointing out something like the moronic daily XP cap affects me more.
And thank you for actually asking me these questions in a respectful manner.

I don't think they're penalizing anyone. I think it was a coding error that allowed players to keep their WC spots they earned on Season 2.
Yes, they probably could've gone in after the fact and changed those 3 WC rewards to packs or something. But who knows. Thst may have messed something else up.
Just be aware that we'll, users that played all year/alot, a bunch of extra No Sell cards when they re-release all the previous Season's XP Path rewards next season.

Bingo
-
@Skarmaen_MLBTS and i think they were too lazy to fix it or didn't know how this late into the game cycle so they said screw it and perhaps decided to leave the mistake in place because they know the seasons/sets models is trash so why not just leave the 4 WC slots ... who really knows with SDS at this point
-
@Cubsfan217_XBL Based on everything else this year I'd bet on lazy.
Ultimately it's not a big deal just another data point that things have really changed at SDS.
